Donna Mcgill Obituary

Donna Perry McGill, also known as Mawmaw Gill, was called home on Friday, September 8, 2023 while surrounded by her family. She was born October 5, 1951 in Mecklenburg County to the late Lewis and Sarah "Frances" Weatherford Perry. Donna was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Claremont for 37 years and retired from Walmart, where she was a supervisor in customer service. She was a graduate of Harding High School. Donna was a woman of unwavering faith and a devoted wife, mother and mawmaw. She appreciated the simple joys in life and looked for the good in everyone she met. Donna never encountered a person she didn't befriend or an animal she didn't feed. She had an abundance of compassion and generosity that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to have been loved by her. Rev. Todd Garren and Rev. Doug Pruitt will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a. m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church.
