Obituary of Donald Young Mr. Donald Young, age 69 of Wartburg, passed away Saturday February 9, 2019 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a graduate of Sunbright High School in 1969. Donald served in the United States Army and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. He retired from Martin Marietta after many years of faithful service. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Delia Phillips Young. One brother: Roy Truman Young. Two sisters: Mary Ellen Burge and Linda Ann Young. And twin siblings: Ronnie Jean and Donnie Jean Young. He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law: Eugene and Judy Young of Chestnut Ridge, and Ray and Christene Young of Wartburg. Five sisters and two brothers-in-law: Lorine and Wilburt Tackett of Oliver Springs, Pauline Leab of Nashville, Charlene Jones of Wartburg, Carolyn S. and Dolphus Carroll also of Wartburg, and Marilyn A. Sturgill of Knoxville. Special friends, caregivers, and family members: Dewayne Bunch, Jesse Young, and Barbara Carroll. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and many other family, friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends Tuesday February 12, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. A Masonic service will follow at 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday morning February 13, 2019 in the Young Family Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 149 Honor Guard.
