Donald Joseph Sims, 87, of Pensacola, Florida passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019. He attended Victory Bible Baptist Church. He retired from Federal Civil Service. Donald was an avid softball player. He was a veteran in the U.S. Marine Corp. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dana Leak Sims; his parents, Edward J. and Theresa A. Sims, his sister, Anne Vacante and his brother, Francis Sims. He is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Cotton Sims; sons, Mark Howell Sims (Crissy), David Edward Sims (Allen) and Keith Alan Sims; stepsons, Allen Cotton (Star) and Raymond Cotton (Rez); stepdaughter, Jackie Kinsey (Bo); grandchildren, Stephanie Sims and Celeste (Sims) Carpenter. Pallbearers will be Mark Sims, David Sims, Keith Sims, Glen Sims, Bo Kinsey, Lamar Wasdin and Allen Tomlinson. Visitation will be Friday, February 15, 2019 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the funeral service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Allen Cotton will be officiating.
