Donald Raisig Obituary

Donald Paul Raisig, age 86, of Old Bridge passed away surrounded by his loving family Thursday, April 20, 2023 at his residence in Old Bridge. Born June 24, 1936 in Buffalo, New York. He lived majority of his life in Battle Creek, MI. After he got married, he resided in Old Bridge, NJ. He was a Communicant of St. Ambrose RC Church in Old Bridge. He was predeceased by his parents; Paul and Wanda (Dombeck) Raisig, and his son, Matthew Raisig who died in 1993. Mr. Raisig proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958. He worked for several companies before retiring in 2013 from Wakefern, South Brunswick. He also worked for Okonite, North Brunswick and Kaiser Aluminum, Hillside. He enjoyed watching the Yankees and Giants and attending all live sports games while enjoying an ice cream cone. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carol Mary (Boland) Raisig, his two daughters; Alison Raisig of Hamilton Twp. , and Nancy and her husband Robert Traeger of Jackson, his four grandchildren; Courtney, Brittany, Nicole, and Stefanie, his brother, Curtis Raisig of Battle Creek, Michigan and his sister, Susie and her husband Michael Kollins of Long Beach, California. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Ambrose RC Church, 81 Throckmorton Ln, Old Bridge. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, Jamesburg.
