Donald Eugene Mosher passed away September 3, 2023. He was 56. Donald was born in Ithaca, New York to the late Martha and William Mosher on January 24, 1967. Donald grew up around the Southern parts of New Jersey. He moved to Delaware 25 years ago and spent his time working as a master carpenter and mechanic. Donald enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, spending time with his dog Lucy, and he had a love for antique cars. He also was very involved in his local church and his community. Donald is survived by his fiance, Mary Lou Froelich; daughters, Ashley of Birdsboro, PA and Donna of Palmyra, NJ; son Michael of Bridgeton, NJ; sister Sissy and husband Tony Ciferni of Dover, DE; brother Lonny of Houston, DE; his grandchildren, Briella, Avianna, Mikah and Delaney; and his nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions be made to help defray funeral expenses. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Barratts Chapel Cemetery. Trevor Johnson, born on October 1, 2002, left this world tragically on November 25, 2023, due to an epileptic seizure. He was a beloved brother to Theo, Troy, Tiana, and Kingston, and his departure leaves an irreplaceable void in their lives. Trevor was the cherished son of TJ Johnson and Courtney Moore. His memories will forever be treasured by his grandparents Barry Moore, the late Kathy Moore, Ted, and Claudia Johnson. Trevor was adored by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will deeply miss him. Born in Dover, Delaware, Trevor attended Dover High School, where his vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He pursued his passion for finance at Delaware State University, following in the footsteps of his proud parents, TJ and Courtney, who attended the university. He excelled academically while embracing his love for football, having been part of several teams. Trevor's unwavering support for the Pittsburgh Steelers reflected his deep-rooted passion for the sport. Trevor's warmth, compassion, and dedication shone brightly in his role as a caregiver. He was fiercely competitive, always striving to bring out the best in himself and those around him. Trevor's infectious laughter and quick wit brought love, joy, and laughter to every gathering, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. He had a profound love for his family and took great pleasure in showcasing his culinary skills during family events, creating cherished memories on birthdays and holidays. Trevor valued quality time spent with friends, finding joy in their company regardless of the activity they engaged in together. Born to the late Annie Mae Hutt, on June 24, 1955, Apostle Hutt was born and raised in Somerset County, Maryland. Educated in the Somerset County public school system, he graduated from Washington High School in 1973. He then furthered his education at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Salisbury State University and he later received his Doctor of Divinity from the International Bible Institute and Seminary in Orlando, FL. God crafted with focused intention and divine will and decided to mold as clay - a spiritual leader among the masses. The Extraction But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. -Isaiah 43:1 KJV Apostle Hutt was called out from the common, into a life of extraordinary service and duty. Cut from the sacred cloth of Christ, God carefully appointed him as a leader, a man of dignity, stellar character, and a shepherd for his people, touching the lives of thousands for over a half century. The Emergence Through wisdom is an house builded; And by understanding it is established. -Proverbs 24:3 KJV Down through the years, Apostle Hutt established churches in Maryland, Virginia, Texas, Delaware, North Carolina, and Georgia. Later, he became the founder and Senior Prelate of Victory International Covenant Churches. He had been highlighted on TBN, ministered in over 40 states and cities in the U. S. and in Jamaica and the Bahamas. He received citations and proclamations from the state of Maryland and preached in every major denomination and organization. As a community advocate, he preached in jails and prisons across the states and conducted services from time to time at Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI) and Poplar Hill Pre-Release Center, where hundreds of young men gave their lives to Christ. He also hosted a broadcast on WDVA Radio Station in Danville, VA called "You Are Next In Line For a Miracle. " During the COVID pandemic, Apostle Hutt continued to spread the gospel by starting an online ministry called FaceBook Live, holding weekly services on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Through his FaceBook Live ministry, he established Feed the Homeless ministry in Wilmington, DE. Also, established out of the ministry was the Thanksgiving and Christmas giveaways for families in need and the annual Black History/Unsung Hero/Soul Food dinner program, to celebrate locals in his hometown and surrounding areas. His love for family, friends and communities and his entrepreneurial skills led him to open community gathering spots like Campus Corner in Princess Anne, MD and Annie Mae's restaurant in Danville, VA. " He also created and moderated several leadership workshops for churches around the world. His testimony and prophetic mantel put him in great demand. He recently celebrated 50 years in ministry. Neville Hilton Burke, born on November 22, 1937, to the late Violet Burke and Cecil Finch, passed away on November 22, 2023. Neville spent his formative years on Dean St in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, NY, where he attended New York City Public Schools. Neville was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Bernice Burke-Payne. Throughout his life, Neville displayed a strong work ethic and commitment to the safety and well-being of others. He initially served the community as part of district security in Brooklyn, NY, before taking on the role of security supervisor at ARTC (Addiction Research and Treatment Corp). A true animal lover, Neville's affinity for dogs was evident in his ownership and operation of NH Burke Security Co, specializing in the training of K-9 attack dogs. His passion for ensuring the security of those around him extended beyond his professional life. Neville's caring nature and watchful eye made him a pillar of support for friends and family alike, creating a sense of comfort and safety in every circle he touched. Neville possessed the knack for leaving a lasting impact, at times, without uttering a word. He took pleasure in quality moments with his family, relishing the art of cooking, and indulging in the pastime of fishing. In 1978, Neville embarked on a new chapter in White Plains, NY, where he married the love of his life, Helen Jenkins, on July 28, 1978. Helen's children, Linda Jenkins-Fitzgerald, Carl Jenkins II (Mary Jenkins), and Larry B. Jenkins, lovingly called Neville, Cap, an endearing nickname derived from Captain Burke. Neville continued his dedication to public service, working as a security officer for the State of New York, County of Westchester. Additionally, he served as a Medical Transport for seniors for the town of Mamaroneck until 2020. Neville H. Burke leaves behind a legacy of hard work, commitment, and love for his family. His impact on the community and the lives he touched will be remembered fondly by those who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Burke; daughter, Linda Fitzgerald; grand-daughter, Tiffany Jenkins; grandsons; Kenneth Fitzgerald, Irvin Fitzgerald, Derrick Jenkins and Carl Jenkins III; great-granddaughter, Briana Peebles; great-grandson, Jared Thomas; nephews, Brian Payne and Myke Payne (Sheila); nieces, Janice King, Brenda Hansley, and Karen Payne; and a multitude of great-nieces, great-nephews and great grandchildren. Marianna Dana Lasocha, 86 DOVER - Marianna Dana Lasocha passed away in her sleep on Nov. 24, 2023, after spending the day with family. She was born in Werszczyca, Poland to Karol and Stefania (Mazur) Frykowski in June of 1937, the youngest of five children. After barely surviving WWII, she moved to Warsaw for school and, after completing her education, traveled to California to visit family. There, through a chance encounter in front of a church, she met her love, Henry Lasocha, and married him in 1958. Together they built a wonderful life for their children. Henry, also a native of Poland, was a military veteran. He spent over 23 years in the Air Force and Marianna knew all the difficulties of being a military wife. Later, Marianna's strength and devotion to Henry sustained them both as she cared for him through many years of debilitating illness. After he passed away in 2000, she continued to run the family business, enjoyed pastimes of gardening and knitting, time at the beach and the companionship of her beloved dogs, Brody, Daisy and Teddy. Most importantly, she loved people and being surrounded by family and friends, who loved her dearly. Marianna Dana is survived by three daughters and two sons, Teresa Quinn (David), Richard Lasocha, Ann Washburn (Tom), Linda Wilson (Richard) and Mark Lasocha (Belynda) as well as sixteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by nephews, nieces and other family still living in Poland. A viewing will be held from 10:30 A. M. until 11:30 A. M. on Friday Dec. 1, 2023 at the Funeral Home of Michael J Ambruso, 1175 South State Street, Dover, DE 19901, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon at the Church of the Holy Cross, 631 South State Street, Dover, DE 19901. "Nancy's Life Nancy Charlotta Custis, daughter of the late Imogene and Joshua Smith, was born on December 3, 1952, and was received in the arms of her Heavenly Father on November 4, 2023, surrounded by her family. Nancy was raised by the late Madora Parker and Brooks Parker, Sr. She attended Owens Corner Elementary School and later graduated from Delmar High School. Nancy went on to attend Delaware State College where she met her husband, Linwood Eugene Custis, Jr. of forty-five (45) years. As a youth, she attended services at Zion United Methodist Church and later joined Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church where she was a member for many years. Nancy served on the committee of United Methodist Women and assisted with the soup kitchen and other activities. Nancy valued education and worked as a Substitute Teacher at Lake Forest High School for several years. Each summer, Nancy loved working at the Sharptown Carnival where she served her world-famous oyster fritters. Nancy worked at B \u0026amp; G Foods for many years in the Quality Control Department, from where she retired in early 2009. Nancy enjoyed cooking, watching Gunsmoke, reading, working on crossword puzzles, and spoiling her grandchildren. Nancy loved the sound of The Temptations. Her favorite gospel song was My Soul Has Been Anchored. Anyone who knew Nancy also knew her faith was strong in the Lord. When asked how she was doing, her reply was either, "I won't complain!" or "No complaints!" Nancy leaves her loving husband, Linwood Custis, Jr. and her children, Lyn Deputy, Lynell Custis, Le'Ondrea Custis, Linette Maddox (Herman) and Brandon Smith to cherish her memory. In addition to her children, Nancy also nurtured several other children: Joseph Custis, Sr. , LoToya Jones and Dr. LaTonya Pierce. Nancy is also survived by her sisters, Judith Gaines, Jacquelyn Smith, Karen Smith, Rosamae Frazier (David), Letha Smith, Tracy Smith, and Ernestine Custis, along with brothers Lawrence Custis, Sr, James Fitchett, Sr. , Jerry Custis, Joseph Custis, Sr. (Romona) and Kerry Nottingham. Nancy also leaves a special cousin, Samuel Gaines and cousins/brothers, Keith and Kelby Smith She enjoyed spending precious time with her loving grandchildren, Aveon Maddox, Amir Maddox, Jaden Maddox, Tyjai Maddox, Zayla Custis, Gianni Martin, Abraham Maddox, Anna'Belle Maddox, and Samson Maddox. Nancy was preceded in death by: two grandchildren, Elijah Maddox and Baby Boy Maddox; her parents, Joshua and Imogene Smith; grandmother, Madora Parker and uncle Brooks Parker, Sr. ; mother-and father-in-law, Linwood Custis, Sr. and Earnestine Bray Custis; brother, Everett Smith; sisters-in-law, Machita Custis and Ruby Custis; two special brothers, Brooks Parker, Jr. and William Derrick Bungy, Sr. ; uncle Louis Parker, and two special nephews, Craig Lee Custis and Keymoura Custis.
