Donald Henry Le May Sr. , (Humphrey) passed away on Sunday, April 16th at the age of 83 surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family. Beloved son of the late Victor and Goldie Le May. Very much loved husband of Peggy Christoffer Le May. Father of Michelle C. Maquar (Steven), Melissa C. Pete (Stephen), Donald Le May Jr. (Cassie), Scott Le May (Kristie) and William Le May. Brother of the late Victor Le May Jr. and Evelyn Schaff. Grandfather (Poppa) of Blake Christoffer, Caitlyn M. Corass (Jonathan), Brandon Christoffer, Zack Feucht, Lauren Pete, Daniel Pete, Anthony Thebault (Liz) , Shyloh and Sirnora Jones. Great grandfather to Brianna Kersey, Brandon Christoffer Jr, Archer and Abel Corass, Preston and Parker Mathews, Isabella, Ariana, Elana, Annabella Thebault. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Holy Cross. He was an employee of the Fair Grounds in New Orleans for over 30 plus years as an engineer. He was born in New Orleans and a resident of Kenner for 46 years. He never met a stranger. Everywhere he went, he ran in to someone he knew. He always had a story to tell. He loved the racetrack and betting the horses. He played the lottery until he passed away, telling everyone he was going to win and we could all quit our jobs. He will truly be missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11am.
