DAYTON, OHIO - Donald E. Corbin, age 83, formerly of Adrian, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Dayton Hospice House. He was born at his grandparent's home in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Earl and Mary (Ferree) Corbin. After graduating from Oskaloosa High School and attending college, Don joined the United States Army in 1957. Upon his discharge in 1959 he entered the Air Force Reserves, serving until 1962. On June 2, 1958, he married the love of his life, Ruth Rittenhouse, and they have been blessed with over 60 years together. Don and his family moved to Adrian in 1965 when he went to work for Merillat Industries. He retired in 1996 as Corporate Transportation Manager. Don and Ruth enjoyed traveling and were happy to be able to attend several family reunions in Iowa. He was a faithful member of the Adrian First Church of the Nazarene. In addition to his wife, Ruth, Don is survived by their sons, Timothy (Lavonne) Corbin of Dayton, Ohio and Bryan Corbin of Iowa; four grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Bunn and a brother, Clifford Corbin. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Adrian First Church of the Nazarene with Dr. David Fulks and Rev. Larry Betz officiating and military honors conducted by the VFW Annis Fint Post #1584 and American Legion Post #97. Burial will follow at Raisin Valley Cemetery.
