Donald Lee Barnett July 3, 1946- October 4, 2023 Don spent his life (born and raised) in Louisville, Kentucky. The only exception was his 4 years at Washington University in St. Louis,Missouri where he earned his bachelors degree and then went on to further his education with a masters degree from the University of Louisville. He was the Assistant Bursar and then Bursar at the University of Louisville from 1969-2012; and respected by many staff and students over those many years. Don was a member of the Douglas Hills Church of Christ for over 40 years and served as their treasurer for 5 of those. Don was an avid reader and read thousands of books over his lifetime ( and was able to quote from most!). He was a lover of music and had a very nice voice. His children and grandchildren would often hear him happily singing, and whistling throughout his home and in his car. However, his greatest interest and pastime was serving the Lord and taking care of his family. The love and care for his wife of 57 years and his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was his greatest joy and work and this was evident to everyone who knew him. His life was lived always putting others before himself. This hardworking, honest, humble, quiet, kind & gentle man, is now resting peacefully with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
