Donae Cook Obituary

Donae Marie Cook, 52, passed away on Sunday evening, April 9, 2023, at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born on November 25, 1970, in Muncie the daughter of Steven and Mae (Turner) Spangler, Jr. Donae attended Muncie Community Schools and later became a school bus driver for M&M Bus Company now known as Axyilio Bus Company. For a total of 18 years prior to her disability. She enjoyed doing Arts and Crafts, coloring, fishing, and spending time with her family and her fur babies, Charlie and Bobo. Survivors include two daughters, Ciara Freeman and Amber Barentine, both of Muncie; one son Travis Freeman (Julie), Muncie; four grandchildren, Eathen, Jenna Lexi, and Hailey; one sister, Vicki McDaniel, Muncie; two brothers, Steven Spangler, Jr. and Charles (Jr. ) Reagan, both of Muncie; one sister, Rayna Hall, Shelbyville; several nieces and nephews to include, Lashelle, Lelani, John, Jacob, Trentligh, Allona, and Amanda. She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece, Skyleigh. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 5:00 P. M. at Parson Mortuary with Ronnie Crouch officiating.
