"Dona Henriette Sauer of Alexandria, VA, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at her home in Alexandria with family at her side, after a long bout with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Loving wife of Robert William Sauer, beloved mother to Cassandra Nicol Planakis and Kelly Marina Clarke and the best grandmother ever to four grandsons. A friend to all and never failing to help those in need, she will truly be missed by many.
