Dona R. Cox, age 95, Logansport, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 8th, at home. Born in Radnor, Indiana, on November 18, 1927, she was the daughter of Claude and Pauline Proctor Kite. She was married to Warren O. "Bud" Cox, who preceded her in death October 23, 1986. Since 1970, Dona had been a devoted and active member of Helm Street Church of God, where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She always assisted with the church's "famous" Chicken-Noodle dinners. Dona enjoyed playing Bingo and card games, gardening and visiting with family and friends, preferably outdoors, her favorite place. She was a strong Indianapolis Colts and Payton Manning fan. In earlier years, Dona had been employed at several of Logansport's legendary restaurants and food establishments, including the Ben-Hur, Harvey's Restaurant and Bolin's Donuts. First and foremost, raising a family was her "first priority", a unanimous opinion shared by all the family. Surviving are two sons, Michael Cox and James Cox, both of Logansport; two daughters, Deborah (George) Graves, Monticello and Diana Ashcraft, Logansport. Another daughter, Darla, preceded her in death several years ago. Also surviving are grandchildren, Andrea (Brian) Jones, Erin (Brian) Lewis, Christopher (Alisa) Cox, Joshua (Jessica) Small, Daryl (Nicole) Krueger, Shayla (Richard) Canseco, Braidon (Ashley) Delk, Addie Sweet and Megan (Kenneth) Ashcraft; step grandchildren, Cathy (Thomas) Runk, Dale (Synde) Graves, Jeff (Dailey) Tingley and Devyn Tingley. Fifteen great grandchildren survive, Gray, Delaney, Sophia, Evelyn, Gabe, Emi, Abby, Jace, Jada, Henry, Lincoln, Kadreyan, Kyree, Kobe, Lilah; and a number of nieces and nephews of several generations; sister-in-law, Bonnie Kite and son-in-law, Jeff Tingley, both of Logansport In addition to Darla, her daughter, she was preceded in death by all of her siblings, Robert Kite, twins William Kite and James Kite, Kenneth Kite and Marjorie Burton. The visitation will be from 10:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. on Saturday, May 13, at Kroeger Funeral Home. The funeral service and celebration of Dona's life is scheduled for 1:00 p. m. Saturday, also at Kroeger Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Cass County, next to her husband, "Bud".
