"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Dolores. She was born on January 15, 1949 and passed away peacefully on April 5, 2023. She is survived by her brothers, Louis and Peter, and her sisters, Theresa, Susan and Yolanda. Dolores was dearly loved by her siblings and her many nieces and nephews. We have many fond memories of Dolores. "Our youngest sister Dolores was a sweet and lovely woman. She had such a love of animals that it seemed to me she always had an adopted stray waiting for something to eat at her back door. They were very important to her. I remember that she would not let us step on an ant or ear wig that had made it into the house. They always had to be deposited outside. This, even though I also remember that once, when we were sitting on the front steps and she was not much more than a baby, having quite an argument with her to stop her from eating a caterpillar. I guess it looked like a pretty candy to her. I am the eldest and would quite often introduce her as our baby sister. She hated that, but I had a hard time stopping. You will forever be our little sister, Dolores, and we will always remember you with love. " - Theresa "When you lose a sister, you lose part of your heart. I have treasured memories of our younger days. Dolores always had a smile for me. When we spoke recently on Face Time, she still had a smile for me, even though I knew she was suffering. I was so glad to see and talk to her. If we always speak her name, she will never die. " - Loving brother, Louie "Dolores was very happy and very beautiful as a young woman. She always strived to look her best. She loved animals and had several pets over the years. She enjoyed reading and had a large collection of books. She had a delightful sense of humour and a clever wit. She was sweet and introverted, but she smiled easily. She knew her family loved her and was grateful for our love and support. " - Susie, Yolanda and Peter We will miss Dolores dearly and forever hold her in our hearts. We would like to thank the staff at the Hemodialysis Unit of St. Joseph's Heath Centre for their constant care and concern. Anyone wishing to honour Dolores could make a donation to the St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto, or the Kidney Care Foundation in her memory. "
