Dolores Ann (Ritenour) Burkholder, 87, of Arona, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, June 20, 2022 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born June 8, 1935 in Arona, PA. Daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Ritenour) Kuntz. Dolores was a graduate of the former Sewickley Township High School Class of 1953. She was a lifetime member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Arona, PA; where she was involved in the Women's Club and also served as a council member. Dolores worked for 11 years and retired from Westmoreland Regional Hospital in Greensburg, PA as a hospitality shop attendant. She was a very intelligent woman and a very talented organist and pianist. She enjoyed coloring pictures, watching game shows on television and planting flowers. She loved spending time with her son; going for rides to new places and recently attending the Westmoreland County Airshow. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping at Maple Grove with her husband and son. She is preceded in death by both parents, loving husband - Roy E. Burkholder and loving companion Buttercup. She is survived by her son - Scott A. Burkholder of Arona, PA and one granddaughter - Amanda Catato and husband John of St. Petersburg, FL. Friends will be received from 10 am - 12 pm on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA - Ronald A. Rich Jr. , Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 12 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Anthony officiating. Interment will follow at the Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA.
