Dolor "Sonny" Arthur Poulin, 76 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Signature Health Care of Putnam County in Cookeville, Tennessee. Sonny was born Sunday, May 11, 1947, in Barre, Vermont, and he was the son of the late Dolor Frederick Poulin and the late Mildred Jennie (Lowery) Poulin Pecor. In January 1967, Sonny enlisted in the Marine Corps serving with the 9th Marines in Vietnam earning a Bronze Star with Valor. He also served with the 1st Batallion 25th Marine Reserve Unit in Manchester, New Hampshire, and the Vermont Air National Guard. In July 1980, Sonny married the love of his life Ann, and he and his daughter Lisa, and Ann and her daughter Jeannie blended their families. He retired from IBM after 30 years of service. In 1994, they moved to North Carolina for warmer winters and hotter summers. He worked in a warehouse for shipping and receiving as well as a maintenance technician for a property management company. In 2004, they ventured farther west to Tennessee where he lived the good life and finally retired. Here he created a passion for lawn maintenance, being Ann's pool boy, the Hallmark channel, and FOX News. Sonny was a generous husband, father, and PaPa and he will be genuinely missed. Sonny is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ann Poulin; Daughter, Jean Kleptz and her husband, John; 2 Grandchildren, Angela Benward and her husband Kenneth, Benjamin Kleptz; Great-Grand-Daughter, Charlie Ann Benward; Brother, Allan Poulin; Step Brother, Kenneth "Tinker" Pecor. In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by, Kenneth Pecor, Sr. ; Daughter, Lisa Poulin. Celebration of Life for Dolor "Sonny" Arthur Poulin will be held Monday, October 30, 2023, at 1:00 pm from the chapel of the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph, Vermont.
