Dolly Orr Obituary

Inza Dolly Orr (nee Bory), age 88, of Johnstown, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, at The Inn at Chapel, Grove, Heath, Ohio. Dolly was born August 13, 1934, in Mineral City, Ohio, to the late Fred and Cora (Bridgeman) Bory. She attended Dover High School, graduating in 1952 as valedictorian of her class. Dolly was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Johnstown, past member of Order of the Eastern Star, and past member of the Child Conservation League, of which she was president. She is survived by daughter, Debi (David Roderick), and son, Doug (Holly); four grandsons, Douglas (Bridget), Bradley (Melissa), Stephen (Jaclyn) and William (Payton); great grandchildren, Grady, Isla, Remi, and Hattie Mae; brothers, Lowell and Dr. Jeff Bory (Germaine); numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dolly is also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald Robert Orr; brothers, Samuel and Terry. Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 11 at Johnstown Presbyterian Church, 81 South Main Street, Johnstown, Ohio, 43031. The funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Friday, May 12 at the church with Rev. Kevin Heckathorn officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Johnstown Presbyterian Church in Dolly's memory.
