Diane Siders Obituary

"Diane Vogt Siders, 88 years of age and resident of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully at home April 22nd of 2023 after battling cancer, making her the longest-lived member of her family. She was born to Dana Nevin Vogt and Christine Dennis Vogt in our city on Halloween, October 31st of 1934, and to Nancy Hubbard, her elder sister. Nancy preceded her from this world, as did her son Dean Kevin Siders. Mrs. Siders is survived by her son, Terrence Nevin Siders, as well as her grandchildren Lisa Joslin and Nevin Tecumseh Siders-Garcia. She was a proud graduate of the class of 1953 from North High School, a constant participant in their annual reunions. High school choir performances led to a lifelong passion for theater. She had been member of the congregations at Maple Grove and Worthington United Methodist churches. Mrs. Siders retired from Midland Mutual Life Insurance, having previously been employed at Huntington Bank. After retirement she helped with accounting tasks at Tropic Nut and Fruit, as well as Robinson Maynard. Active to the end, Mrs. Siders enjoyed dining at diverse culinary locales and cinema with her friends. She was an avid reader and recycler. The passion for acting led to taking on a role in the board for Eclipse Theater Company. Her donations to Perkins Observatory were acknowledged by christening a display room after her sons. Her family extends its thanks to her loving and caretaking neighbors Marilyn Keer and Susan Webster, and oncologist Dr. Hoffmeister. The celebration of her life will be held at Rutherford Funeral Home at 515 High Street, in downtown Worthington on Tuesday April 25th from 3 to 5 p. m. Mrs. Siders requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be given to one's preferred charity or to Eclipse Theater Company. "
