Diana L. Mazola, 74, of Lynn was called home early Monday August 28th, 2023Diana was born August 13, 1949, She was one of eight siblings born and raised in Lynns America Park and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School Class of 1967. She worked for Neighborhood Legal Aid in Lynn for many years until she retired. This is where she met her lifelong friends John Ford and Debbie Boggs. Diana was an independent, sometimes stubborn, but always loving sister, aunt, godmother and friend. She was a fierce competitor, who always played to win, whether it be cards with her siblings, bingo with her friends, or board games with her many nieces and nephews. She had an unwavering adoration for Tom Brady, so much so that when he left New England she quickly began cheering for the Buccaneers. She was a big fan of Elvis and loved singing along with him in the car. She loved to laugh and you could often find her in her favorite recliner watching her sitcoms. She had a passion for elephants and gave generously to the WWF up until her passing. Diana had so many special qualities that it is impossible to list them, but what stood out the most was her fierce loyalty and devotion to her family. She built unique and special bonds with each of her nieces and nephews. Her siblings could always count on her in their times of need, and when her Mother needed someone to help, it was Diana who moved in to take care of her. She was always generous with her time, quick with a compliment, and she was fun to be around. She found joy in the small things, a good cup of coffee, a winning scratch ticket, family dinners and time with her friends. She had a tremendous wit and an incredible sense of humor. When Diana knew her time with us was getting short, she made every effort to be strong for her loved ones. She did not want us to be sad for her, because she knew that she was off to a better place. We will remember her with a smile, and with so much gratitude for all of the time we shared, the highs and the lows, the laughter and the love, especially the love. Diana was the daughter of the late Alfred and Beatrice (Angeles) Mazola. She is survived by her loving siblings: the late Alfred Mazola and his wife Judy of Lynn, Linda Gaudet and her late husband Dennis of Peabody, Lucy Mazola of Lynn, Tina Brown and her Husband Randy of Lynn, the late Ralph Mazola and his partner Peggy Actis, Danny Mazola and his wife Terri of Lynn and Annette Mazola and her partner John Callonas of Saugus.
