Edwin Dewayne "Pete" Fry, 84, lifelong area resident passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at his home in Guymon. The son of Clarence Edwin "Sonny" Fry and Jessie Maye Wilson Nall, he was born August 16, 1939 in Cimarron County, Oklahoma near Keyes. Dewayne graduated from Keyes High School with the Class of 1957. He was engaged in farming and ranching. He was preceded in death by one son, Eldon Dewayne Fry. He is survived by son, Dallas Wayne Fry of Keyes and two grandchildren. Survivors also include one brother, Victor Eldean Fry of Bolivar, Missouri and his special friends and caregivers, Mike and Christine Boring. A graveside service will be held at the Willowbar Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Paul Dean Yell, 72, lifelong Guymon resident, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at his home. Paul, known as Onion, was born January 28, 1951 in Dumas, Texas, the son of Joseph and Wanda Yell. Onion attended Guymon schools, graduating with the class of 1969. He served in the U. S. Army and was based in Korea. He was united in marriage to Mary Parham on April 20, 1974. Paul was a dedicated husband who loved his wife dearly. After losing her to cancer in 2012, Onion Led efforts to raise funds for local people in need. Onion was a well-known welder, working in the gas and oil industry. Paul loved OU football, golfing with his buddies, and spending time with friends at Bob's. He was a member of the Guymon Elk's Lodge. "Pa" was very proud of his grandchildren and would brag to anyone who would listen. Cussing and discussing OU football was a favorite pastime with his two sons. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his mother, Wanda, and his parents, Joseph and Joann Yell, one sister, Linda Rutz, and one brother, Joe Yell. Survivors include two sons: Tim Parham and wife, Christy of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Randy Yell and wife, Jackie of Guymon; one sister, Becky Connolly of Amarillo, Texas; four grandchildren, Ally Parham, Brock Parham, Mason Yell and Rilee Slover. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, December 9th at 2:00 p. m. at Victory Memorial Methodist Church with Lanny Wilson officiating. Candy Sharkey, 64 year old lifelong resident of Guymon, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Norman Regional Healthcare Center. Candy Delon Perkins was born to Urschel and Iva Jo (Brooks) Perkins on October 20, 1958, in Hereford, Texas. She attended Tyrone Public Schools graduating with the class of 1977. Candy was united in marriage to William Sharkey on December 5, 1980, in Guymon, Oklahoma. She worked in the family custom cutting business, Urschel Perkins and Daughters Custom Harvesting. They traveled to many states including Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Idaho, Colorado and South Dakota. Candy was a lifelong panhandle resident until moving to Blanchard, Oklahoma a couple years ago. She was preceded in death by her father, maternal and paternal grandparents, two uncles: Warren Brooks and Gary Brooks. She is survived by one daughter: Erica Dickerson and husband Derek of Blanchard, Oklahoma, one son: Kevin Sharkey and wife Maribel Mesta of Guymon, Oklahoma, mother: Iva Jo Perkins of Hooker, Oklahoma, two sisters: Sue Farley and husband Spot of Hooker, Oklahoma and Teresa Rhodes and husband Bill of Ardmore, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren: Payton, Lucas, Tucker, Berkley, Kai, Noe and Isael, nieces and nephews Mike Brown and wife Amanda, Barbra Benton and husband Jeremy, Brandon Rhodes, Brittany Spears and husband Nathan, ex-husband William Sharkey and two special friends Richard and Sharon Martinez. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 1:00 P. M to 8:00 P. M. with family present from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. at Henson~Novak Funeral Home in Guymon. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Henson~Novak Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 A.
