Mark Lynn Roberts, age 52 of Lee’s Summit Missouri, passed away at 7:02 AM on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024. Mark was born in Olathe, KS, on February 23rd, 1971, to the union of Bob Roberts and Helen (Cole) Roberts. He graduated from Blue Valley High School and later attended Ozark Christian College. He received his Associates degree from Johnson County Community College. Mark excelled in software engineering and was the Senior Software Engineer for Topcon. While Mark always wanted to make others laugh with his amazing sense of humor, he was also a truly generous loving man. If he saw a need, he would be the first in line to help. He had an affinity for collecting Legos and puzzles and was most fond of his Star Wars memorabilia. The life that he lived made it clear his priorities were God and family. The love he had for his family was truly immeasurable. He was a member of Legacy Christian Church of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. He is survived by his wife Supaporn (Kay) Roberts; his parents, Bob and Helen Roberts; his brother Dale Roberts (wife, Amy); his nieces, Jamie Wilkins (husband, Dave), Jennifer Martin, and Hannah Roberts; his nephew, Jordan Roberts (wife, Agnieszka); his great nieces, Amanda, Moriah, Camara, Aleksandra, and Hania; his great nephews, Joshua, Ezra, and Luka; and his great-great nieces Ariel and Aurora. He was preceded in death by his brother Roy Alan Roberts and his grandparents Earl and Anna Roberts, and William and Josephine Cole. Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, at Legacy Christian Church of Lee’s Summit, MO. followed by the funeral service beginning at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am on March 1st at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church 130 NW Murray Rd. Lee's Summit Missouri 64081. Following with burial in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri 64138. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Children's Mercy Hospital. Joan was born March 27th , 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri to Rose and Clifford Snyder. She worked for and retired from the government after 29 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her son David Staab, parents Clifford H. and Rose C. (Welsh) Synder and brother Don Synder. Joan is survived by her son Richard Staab (wife Maureen), daughters; Ann Richardson (husband Lonnie), Carolyn Raye (husband Stephen), sister-in-law Kay Synder. Along with eight grandchildren David, Chad, Christina, Jennifer, Kevin and Bradley. As well as six great-grand children Kadin, Jay, Lexie, Emily, Joselyn, and Freya. Her spirit lives on in heaven and her memory resides forever in our hearts. Joan was born in Kansas City, Mo. on March 27th, 1936 at St. Joseph Hospital. She graduated from Lillis High School in 1953. First job out of high school, she went to work at Hallmark for two years. She then started working at AT&T. Her fiancé returned from the army and they were married a few months later at Blessed Sacrament Parish. She remained at AT&T until she was 5 months pregnant and their company rules require she start maternity leave. On March 5th, she had a son they named Richard and stayed home because she become pregnant again when Richard was 6 months old. Then on June 10th, was blessed with a baby girl they named Ann Louise. 15 months later, they had another baby girl named Carolyn Marie. Three years later another baby son was born and they named him David. When the 3 older children were in school and David was in pre school, Joan went to work at IRS working part time during tax season. Later Joan worked full time at the Department of Agriculture and stayed until she retired at age 67. When Joan retired she moved from the house in St. Regis Parish to a patio apartment at Heritage Park in Lee's Summit, MO across the street from her parish Our Lady of the Presentation. She said " I am very happy here".

Charles O. Alexander, 89, of Kansas City, MO., formerly of Prairie Home, MO., died Saturday, February 17, 2024, at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit surrounded by his family. Visitation for Charles will be held at Prairie Home Methodist Church from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, a funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Don Almond officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in the Bunceton Masonic Cemetery. Charles Oliver Alexander was born February 15, 1935, in Prairie Home, MO., the son of James Frank Alexander and Mary Ruth Haley. He graduated from Prairie Home High School in 1953 where he met the love of his life, Quillie Lee Wilson. They married in Boone County, MO., on August 24, 1953. They were married for 70 years and had nine children and many grandchildren. He served in the Navy Reserves from 1953 to 1961. Charles worked for General Electric as a field engineer and traveled to many locations throughout the United States. He helped assemble the large turbines at the Wolf Creek Power Plant in Burlington, Kansas. Charles loved and enjoyed going to the lake house anytime he could get away. He loved driving his tractor up and down the down the road. This brought back memories of growing up on the farm. You could find him at the lake working on countless projects or on the back porch enjoying a beverage or 2 and smoking cigars, where he shared many stories. Most important to him was always his family. He spent countless hours taking his family skiing and many boat rides. He enjoyed attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and activities and tried to attend them all. Charles was preceded in death by his parents James and Ruth, Son, Charles Michael Alexander, son-in-law, Jim Yielding, sister and brother-in-law, Marian and Paul Brandes. He is survived by his wife, Quillie of the home, sons, Mark Lee (Lori) Alexander, Scott Edward (Cynthia) Alexander, James Dale (Paul) Alexander, Daughters, Karen Sue Yielding, Sharon Kay (Gary) Dalrymple, Vicky Lynn (Greg) Gillam, Lori Jean (Kenneth) Kneib, Pamela Ann (Michael) Garfias and daughter-in-law, Jacki Alexander. Bland Morgon Gordon, age 85, of Lee’s Summit, sadly left us on February 15 th , 2024. He was born in Atchison, KS to William L. Gordon and Oleta T. Gibson on May 8, 1938. He graduated from Holden High School and went on to work for Hallmark Cards until his retirement. He loved racing, football, listening to music and going to the Swap and Shop. He will be greatly missed by his wife Wanda Earl who was married to him for 66 years. He is also survived by his daughters, Robin Keys and Sandra (David) Wright; grandchildren, Brandy (James) Toutges, Shannon (Davie) Swope, Kristen Wright, Shawn Keys and Brandon Wright; great- grandchildren, Addison Lusk, Abel Lusk, Aidrick Keys, Jax Swope, Lilah Swope and Bowie Keys; brother and sisters, David (Cassie) Gordon, Lucille Jennings and Virginia Hall. Evans in Kansas City, Mo. They later moved to Lee’s Summit, MO.Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and her brother, Lawrence P. Forrest.Other survivors include four nephews, Lawrence C. Forrest (Karen) of Granbury, TX, Stephen K. Forrest (Alice) of Bloomington, IL, Charles K. Forrest (Cindy) of Knob Noster, MO, and Ernest P. Forrest (Theresa) of Weldon Spring, MO; four great nieces and nephews, Sabrina Howser (Joseph), Charles Forrest (Sammi), Alex Forrest, and Kayla Forrest, and three great great nieces and nephew.Patricia graduated from Bucklin High school in Bucklin, MO in 1956. After high school graduation Patricia moved to Kansas City, MO to begin working for New York Life Insurance Company as secretary for twenty years until 1976 when the company moved to Minneapolis, MN.Patricia always enjoyed dancing. She and Robert began square dancing in 1970 and then moved to round dancing in 1972. She and Robert traveled all over the United States and Canada several times round and ballroom dancing. Patricia began competitive ballroom dancing in 1987 at her husband’s insistence. She began competitive dancing in 1984 in ballroom but preferred International Standard, which included the waltz, fox trot and tango. Patricia excelled in International Latin dances such as rumba, cha-cha, samba, and jive. She competed in U.S. Ballroom championship in 1994 and brought home the title of U.S. bronze medalist in the open gold International Latin division. Sondra Rouse was born on March 8, 1940, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Joseph “Bud” William Catron, Jr. and Clarice Nadine (McGuire) Catron. Sondra grew up in Fortescue, Missouri. She attended Craig High School in Craig, Missouri where she graduated in May 1958. Sondra met Leonard Alvin Rouse while attending Craig High School and they were married shortly after her graduation on June 20, 1958. Sondra was a published author, bible schoolteacher, and childcare provider, She was also a proofreader for the Nazarene Publishing House; retiring after 12+ years of service. Sondra was a life-long devoted Christian and enjoyed attending regular church services with Leonard. Recently, Sondra asked a visiting pastor to read her the story of Ephesians 3. Surrounded by her loved ones, Sondra went to heaven on February 9, 2024, and is preceded in death by her parents; brother William “Bill” Douglas Catron; son Richard “Tod” Rouse and son-in[1]law Gary Lee Holland. Sondra leaves behind her husband of 65+ years, Leonard Rouse. Children: Dani (Gary) Rouse, Paul (Laurie) Rouse; Grandchildren: Derek (Onna) Rouse, Jesi Cochran, Taylor Wood, Jorden Wood, Jake (Ebba) Kern, Brett Rouse, Matt Rouse, and Natalie Rouse; Great Grandchildren: Trent Cochran, Chloe Rouse, Ryleigh Rouse, Raegan Rouse, Grayson Heryford, and Kayleigh Heryford; Brother: Randy Linn Catron and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Arva Lou Bilyeu, 94, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Mrs. Arva Lou Bilyeu was born in Ozark, Missouri on December 21, 1929. On March 28, 1948, she married the love of her life Bill Bilyeu. Together the two owned and operated many businesses throughout their lifetime, including, but not limited to: the Hotel Bothwell, Bilyeu Refrigerated, Bryant Transport, and North Central Truck Lines. Lou was a beloved member of the Lee’s Summit community. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, friend, mentor, and grandma to all that knew her. Lou loved to fish, work in her flower bed and yard, play double solitaire, raise, and cuddle her dogs, dance to music of all genres, watch America’s Funniest Home Videos with a laugh that would bust a gut; but what brought her the most joy was spending time with family, whom she referred to as her “babies”. She loved everyone with all her heart, and they knew it because she expressed it with the best hugs ever! She leaves behind her three daughters, Luanna Scott of Austin, TX, Lynn Banks of Blue Springs, MO and Michele Barnes of Lee’s Summit, MO, and is preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Bilyeu. In addition, Lou leaves behind four grandchildren, Joe Uhr of Smithville, TX, Jason Webb of Lee’s Summit, MO, Waylon Webb of Kearney, MO, and Lucy Atwood of Springfield, MO. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren, Elijah Webb of Springfield, MO, Ethan Webb of Springfield, MO, Taryn Uhr of Smithville, TX, Ava Webb of Lee’s Summit, MO, Myla Webb of Lee’s Summit, MO, Dawson Webb, of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Savannah Webb of Kearney, MO. Also preceded in death by her parents, Blanche and Arva Winfrey; husband, Bill Bilyeu; brother, Edward Huxhold; sister, Lizzie, and granddaughter Ciara Webb.
