Richard Edward Evans, Sr., resident of the Manor House in Seaford, Delaware, entered eternal rest on February 24, 2024. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 3,1935, Richard was the son of the late Edward S. and Bessie I. Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon T. Evans, and sister, Rosalie Evans. As small boy he attended Glenmount Elementary and would matriculate to West Nottingham Academy before attending the University of Baltimore School of Business subsequent to his service in the U.S. Army. Richard is survived by his sister Betty Jean Smith, sons Dr., Christian Evans (Patti), Rev. Richard Evans, Jr. (Carol), and Jason Evans. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren include Matthew Evans (Katie), Dr. Katherine Shedlock (Aaron), Lauren Montero (Jerry), Steven Evans, Hope Beaghley (Andrew), Paige Evans, Zachary Evans, Madison Evans, Ella, Madeline and Calvin Shedlock, Jordan and Gabriel Montero, Seamus and August Beaghley, and Harper Evans as well as several nieces and nephews. Richard possessed an entrepreneurial spirit owning several companies including August Products Inc. a glass fabricator for Revlon Inc., the R.E. Company, a beverage distributor for Virginia Dare, Popular Club, and A-Treat Bottling Co. Richard also owned a Baltimore based franchise for Tasty Cake of Philadelphia. He was a practical, yet soft hearted man who readily responded to others requiring a hand up or a kind word. A friend to everyone he met, Richard’s pleasant smile and caring generous nature will be greatly missed by all. He enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, golf, bowling, and following both the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens Football teams. A brief committal service will be held on Friday, March 1, at 11:00 a.m. for family and friends at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 26669 Patriots Way Millsboro, DE 19966. It is with profound sadness, the family of Geri Lynn Rementer, 51, of Seaford, announces her passing on February 15, after many years of health issues. She was the daughter of Madeline Forte Rementer and the late Jerry Rementer. Geri Lynn was a petite and friendly people person, with a heart bigger than she was. She treasured her family and friends. She was loved in return and will be remembered for her caring and kind heart, her every present smile, and the joyfulness she radiated to those around her. She was fun to be around, and entertained her family and friends with her lively personality. She was a graduate of Seaford High School, and attended Del Tech College, and attended Grace Baptist Church in her youth. She is survived by her daughter, Olivia; mother, Madeline Forte Rementer, a brother, Michael (Sandy); and a sister, Alexis. Ralph Edward Elliott, Jr.

Ralph Edward “Ed” Elliott, age 94, of Seaford, Delaware passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. He was born in Verona, PA, son of the late Rachel Ann (Jolly) and Ralph Edward Elliott Sr. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytech Institute in 1951 and spent most of his career working as a chemical engineer for Calgon (which later became a subsidiary of Merck). Before graduating from RPI, he was married to Ann Louise Bierly of Endwell NY. They had sixty-nine years together before her passing in January 2021. Together, Ed and Ann lived in several places in New York and Pennsylvania before settling outside of Pittsburgh, PA and raising four children. After the last child left the nest, Ed and Ann moved to Scottsdale, AZ and enjoyed 20 years of hiking, exploring, and working as docents at the Phoenix Botanical Gardens. They spent the last twenty years in Delaware living in Millsboro and then at the Manor House in Seaford. Ed was a devoted husband, caring for his wife during her journey through dementia. Ed enjoyed many hobbies and activities: woodworking, gardening, music, traveling, hiking and exploring Arizona, sudoku, and computer solitaire. He was active in the Methodist Church. He was a boy scout leader when his sons were growing up and camping was the frequent family vacation when all the children were young. Ed is survived by his children Dave (Connie) Elliott of Peyton, CO; Dan (Carol) Elliott of West Lafayette, IN; Jim (Nancy) Elliott of Angier, NC; and Kathy (Derb) Hall of Millsboro, DE; 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Bob F. Foster, 73, of Denton, Maryland passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Tidal Health Nanticoke in Seaford, Delaware. Bob was born in Neptune and was a life-long resident of Freehold/Howell area until moving to Denton to live with his daughter in 2020. He worked as a corrections officer for the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office retiring in 2016. Prior to being a corrections officer, Bob retired from Brockway Glass. With a calling of the outdoors, he took great pleasure in nature, hunting and trapping with his life-long friends, Ray and Wayne. Bob had a passion for Ford Broncos, was handy fixing cars and would never miss going to a gun show. Yet he most relished his time at Federici’s enjoying a veal parmigiana dinner. Bob was predeceased by his siblings, Bill Foster, Jeanette Gibson Nielsen, and Wilma Sammis. He is survived by his three daughters, Kelly Foster of Lakehurst, Kimberly Foster of Lakewood, and Karey Dawidowicz and her husband, Andrew of Denton; eleven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; his brother, Bert Foster of South Carolina; three nieces; and two nephews. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Adelphia Cemetery, Adelphia on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Shirley Allena Moseley

"Shirley Allena Moseley, born on March 13, 1935, peacefully passed away on January 31, 2024, at Genesis Healthcare- Lofland Park Center, where she had resided for the past year. She was 88 years old. Shirley was born in Athol, MD, and was the beloved daughter of the late Victor McKinley Robinson and Eugie May (Bailey) Robinson. Raised in Athol, she attended Mardela High School. In her younger days she worked as a waitress at the snack bar at Central Drug Store. She worked many years until retirement as a machine operator for Shore Paper Box Co. in Mardela Springs. After retirement she continued working in food service at several local establishments. Shirley was a prayer warrior who prayed daily for so many and a member of Athol Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Later in life she attended Calvary Baptist Church. Food was always the center of family gatherings and everyone referred to her as Mom Mom Moseley or Aunt Shirley. She was a wonderful cook who loved to feed family and friends. She was well known for her soup, peas and dumplings and her cornbread, which was usually called \u0026quot;Mom Mom Moseley\u0027s cornbread” or simply “Aunt Shirley\u0027s cornbread.” She will be remembered as a wonderful, feisty and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who would do anything for her family, or anyone in need. She is survived by sons, Edward P. Moseley, Jr and wife, Carole and Mark D. Moseley and fiancée, Susan Lankford; grandchildren, Russell Derrickson, Ryan Derrickson (Amie), Joshua Moseley, April Moseley (Mike), Joseph Moseley (Amber), Amber Eure (Zack), Shane Moseley, Allana Cornelius (Jeff), Emily Moseley, Aericka Delcid (Tyler), and Mikayla Lankford; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. Moseley, Sr.; brother, Richard E. Robinson (Martha); and sisters-in-law, Barbara Ryan (Terry) and Lillian Majors (Rodney). A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, and also on Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00. A funeral service is set to begin Sunday at 2:00. The Reverend Harold Hamilton will officiate. Interment will follow at Mardela Memorial Cemetery. Paul Lyndon Cooper, 59, of Hurlock, Maryland passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. Born on December 29, 1964 in Seaford, Delaware, he was the youngest son of the late J. Franklin Cooper and Marilyn Miller Cooper.Paul graduated from the class of 1982 from Delmar Jr./Sr. High School. Upon his graduation, he studied at Penn State. Later he transferred to Salisbury University where he studied Music Education and he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He began his music teaching career at South Dorchester K-8 School. He earned his Masters of Education with a concentration in music degree while continuing to teach. Throughout Paul’s life he enjoyed playing piano and drums in church and in many local bands. He played piano dinner music in some Ocean City restaurants and played for some dinner theater groups. In addition to his musical talent, he enjoyed sewing which he learned from his Grandmother Cooper. He was a wonderful cook and knew exactly how to season dishes just right. Paul loved the Green Bay Packers NFL football team and he loved the Wisconsin Badgers football and basketball teams. He was a true fan and stuck by his teams win or lose. Paul’s main focus was his family and friends.Paul is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sarah McGee Cooper of Sharptown, children Hannah Elizabeth Cooper and Isaac Ellis Cooper; brother Mark Cooper and his wife April Cooper, her mother Dot Hickman, niece Amber Cooper, nephew Wayne Cooper, other nephews from his deceased brother Robert Cooper, John Robert Cooper and Philip Cooper. Paul’s oldest brother Johnny Cooper passed away in 1975 in an accident after just graduating high school.A celebration of life memorial luncheon is being planned and details will be posted on Facebook at a later date. The events date is being considered for some time in early March. Hurlock Elementary School is providing the meat for our luncheon. If you are able, the family is asking each group to bring one covered dish. Sarah wanted to have a gathering of friends and family to eat and fellowship together, sharing stories of the wonderful man she married, Paul Cooper.

Jane Drace, age 77, of Seaford, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, surrounded by her family. Jane was born on July 30, 1946, in Souderton, PA. Jane was the Owner of Drace Insurance and Investments for over 30 years. She was a member and past president of the Soroptimist Club, she was a member of the Seaford Historical Society, a member of the Seaford Chamber of Commerce, and she was also involved in the Smart Girls program through the Boys and Girls Club. Jane was very involved with the Seaford Community, which also included serving on the board of the Boys and Girls Club in Seaford. Jane enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, family trips, and spending time with her family (especially spending time with her grandchildren). Jane always found a way to stay busy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Drace, and her parents, Samuel and Laura Yoder. Jane is survived by her son, Todd Drace, daughter Kim Drace-Bumgardner (husband, Rusty), and six grandchildren, Cameron, Dylan, Kix, Piper, Aidan, and Bella. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM with a public viewing from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Christ Lutheran Church, 315 N Shipley Street, Seaford, DE. Carolyn Louise Jones, 66, of Reid’s Grove, MD, was called home to her eternal resting place on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Tidal Health Hospital in Seaford, DE. Upon her passing she was surrounded by her family and many loved ones. Carolyn was born August 14, 1957 in Reid’s Grove, MD and was the daughter of the late Nettie Mae Dennis and the late Gilbert Lee Dennis, Sr.. She was a graduate of North Dorchester High School Class of 1975. After graduation, she worked at several manufacturing and production factories in Dorchester County. Finally, she took a job at Amick Farms in Hurlock, MD and worked there 45 years before retiring in 2023. During the course of her adulthood, she met Ronald W. Jones, Sr.. During their romantic journey, they conceived three children, two daughters and a son, which they both loved and cared for. Carolyn was a sweet and caring person who always thought of others. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Nettie Dennis and Gilbert Dennis, Sr.; husband, Ronald W. Jones, Sr.; one daughter, Renee Jones; three sisters, Debora Dennis, Shirley Jones, and Gloria Dennis. Carolyn is survived by her son Dewayne Jones (Quatisha Carey) of Bridgeville, DE; daughter Latoyia ones of Cambridge, MD; sister Sylvia Ennels (Thomas) of Seaford, DE; and brother Gilbert Dennis, Jr. (Renee Demby) of Rhodesdale, MD; twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a special dear friend Dewayne McDonald, and best friends Niecy Camper and Taresa Todd.
