He graduated from Oxford Hills High School, Class of 1971, Bowdoin College, Class of 1975 and the University of Maine School of Law in Portland in 1980. Paul practiced law in Bath before moving to Bangor in 1985 where he practiced until his retirement. He was an outdoorsman who loved to canoe and, especially, ski. While in high school, he joined the National Ski Patrol at Mount Abram Ski Area in Greenwood and, even this past winter, was still skiing at Sugarloaf and Sunday River as part of Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation Association with the help of his longtime ski buddy, Daniel Boutin of Portland. In recent years he enjoyed volunteering as a SCORE mentor and working with the Maine the Volunteer Lawyers Project.
