Beloved husband of 43 years to the late Edith "Edie" (nee Nye) Jones; loving father of Colleen Laurenzi and Lars (Kelly) Lindahl; cherished grandfather of Nick Dedloff, Samantha (Ryan) Miller, Alex Laurenzi, Connor Lindahl, and the late Ashlee Lindahl; adored great-grandfather of Harrison Miller; dear son of the late Clifford, Sr. and Estella (nee Mackay) Jones; also survived by nieces and nephews. Cliff was a devoted and loving husband, a caring and attentive grandfather to all of the children and always showed sincere interest in all our current activities, and was a loyal friend to all of his brothers from West Point and the Army. He led a decorated career in the Army that spanned over 30 years, followed by short career's at M&T Bank and Calspan before finally retiring in 1994. Cliff and Edie were avid caretakers of Pekingese dogs over the years, raising three dogs that were Regional Best in Show winners. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, skier, photographer, sailor, rifleman, griller, reader, and martini connoisseur who enjoyed just about anything in life if he got to spend it with his wife and family. He will be dearly missed by his family. Funeral services to be held privately. His family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the loving nurses and caretakers at Fox Run who bent over backwards to keep him healthy and guarantee his quality of life stayed as high as it could, for as long as possible. Reese (Mary) Meghan and Elizabeth. James was retired from 3M as a Millwright. He was a Red Cross blood donor of 38 gallons, volunteered at a local Nursing Home for 15 years, volunteered at Shea's Buffalo for over 15 years, and belonged to the WNY Miniature Club. Upon retirement, we enjoyed a life of travel, throughout the U.S. and Europe. Donations to the American Red Cross would be greatly appreciated. Love one another…..
