Crainick & Virginia Heather Crainick Grove. He was a Laborer for the railroad. . Dennis enjoyed karaoke, softball and was an avid Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions fan. . He is survived by his Five Brothers, George Radcliff of Bowling Green, KY, Bernard Crainick of Benld, IL, Gary (Linda) Crainick of Staunton, IL, Herman Crainick of Gillespie, IL, Doug Chapman; Three Sisters, Ruby Finch of Wood River, IL, Suzie Crainick of Gillespie, IL, Mary Cunningham of Benld, IL and several nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his Parents; Siblings, Murl Radcliff, Donald Radcliff, Glen Edward Bethard; Rose Ann Chapman; Sisters-in-law Rose Mary Radcliff and Edith Bethard; Brothers-in-law, Forest Finch and Taris Cunningham. Wendy married Leonard Bren, on September 19, 1998, in Las Vegas, NV. Wendy was employed in the real estate industry, retiring as the property manager of an apartment complex. She was a faithful member of First United Pentecostal Church in Schram City, IL. Wendy enjoyed travelling with her husband across the states and overseas to various countries. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three siblings. Wendy is survived by her husband, Leonard Bren of Benld; and two siblings. Cremation was provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society. He was son of the late Pink Blanton and Eva Dora (Cottrell) Sykes, and born on August 22, 1941 in Granite City, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Joyce Sykes, his children David, Melissa and Jesse. Also preceded in death by; Oleta, Rebecca, Betty, Lela, Rosella, Donald and Phyllis. He is a retired corrugated operator. He is survived by his sons; William (Darla) D. Sykes Jr. , Roger D. Sykes, Jason L. (Susan) Sykes and Phillip T. Sykes, proud grandfather to; Eric, Bridget, Matthews, Austin and Kaylee, proud great-grandfather to Noah, Haven and Eli; brother Pete Sykes and sisters; Gloria Tallor and Joyce Dix. Born December 31, 1943, in Cass County, IL, he was a son of the late Arthur Barber Sr. and Mary (Large) Barber. He married Deborah Main on July 10, 1967, and she survives. Art was retired from the U. S. Navy and served two tours in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Gillespie, IL, a member of the Mt. Olive VFW Post # 5790, and a member of the Mt. Nebo Masonic Lodge # 76 AF & AM. He is survived by his wife, Debrah Barber of Benld, IL; 2 sons, Andrew (Melinda) Barber of Gillespie, IL and Timothy (Sara) Barber of Sawyerville, IL; 8 grandchildren, Dakotah (Emily), Morgan, Abigail, Mason (Kendra), Connor, Katy, John Allen, and Shawne Copeland; 1 brother, Richard Barber. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Cindy Westbrook, Barbara Mills, and Mary Roberts; 4 brothers, David, Michael, Ronald, and Ricky Barber. Margaret Musso (nee Nepute), 101, of Normal and formerly of Benld, IL, passed away on October 6, 2021 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. She was born June 29, 1920 to Anton and Francesca (Peccolo) Nepute and married her sweetheart, Joseph Musso on April 5, 1947. He precedes her in passing on March 1, 1997. Surviving are her daughter: Mariann (Dr. Dennis) Lawler; two grandsons: Michael (Melanie) Lawler, Patrick (Jennifer) Lawler; and four great-grandchildren. She is also preceded in passing by her parents; and five siblings. Margaret resided in Benld until 2019, when she moved to Bloomington/Normal to be with her family. A visitation will be held at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Road, Bloomington on Tuesday, October 12th from 10-11 am, with burial to follow at Benld City Cemetery, Benld, IL.Show more
