Dennis G. Brown, age 76, of Cascade, WI, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on July 6, 1947 in Milwaukee, WI, a son of the late George F. and Dorothy (Schmidt) Brown. He attended St. Thomas Aquinas Grade School and graduated from Washington High School in 1965. He served in the United States Army from 1966-1968. On April 17, 1982, he married Georgia Kopecky in Milwaukee. Dennis worked at Glenroy Inc in Menomonee Falls for over 30 years. He enjoyed watching all Wisconsin sport teams, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Georgia; three children, Brenda Murphy, Sean (Michelle) Murphy, Jeffrey (Heather) Brown; seven grandchildren, Courtney (Tyler) Hoyt, Jacob Zellmer, Keelyn Ard, Declan, Liam, and Ronan Murphy, and Harlan Brown; three great-grandchildren, Logan, Hailey, and Kyree; two brothers, Joseph and Tim Brown; sister-in-law, Susan Struebing; brothers-in-law, Joseph (Jeanine) Kopecky, William (Jean) Kopecky, Steve (Christine) Kopecky; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susan Brown; and brother-in-law, Duane Kopecky. Visitation will be held on Saturday (September 9, 2023) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM; with a Memorial Service and Military Rites to follow at 3:00 PM. Betty L. Babler, age 65, of Cascade, WI, passed away Friday morning (November 24, 2023) at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born on September 25, 1958, in Fond du Lac, WI, a daughter of the late Leo and Lucille (Chapman) Sina. Betty graduated from Laconia High School in Rosendale in 1976. On August 27, 1983, she married Keith Babler. The couple has resided in Cascade since their marriage. Betty was owner/operator of the Cascade Cheese Company and was still involved in the businessuntil her passing. She enjoyed keeping busy with gardening, yardwork, craft fairs, going to Badger games, bowling (she bowled in many of the area leagues), volunteering many hours and helping with all kinds of fundraisers for the Cascade Volunteer Fire Department. She also helped working the Voting Polls during elections and loved the company of her many feline companions that she raised. Betty's biggest enjoyment was going on vacation with her family to the Wisconsin Dells and spending as much time as she could with her loving grandchildren, which were the loves of her life. She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Leo and Lucille Sina; Parents-in-law, Albert and Lois Babler; Her son, Wesley Babler; Brother, Jim Sina; Sister, Ann Lechner; and Brothers-in-law: Brian and Brent Babler. Following Betty's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her Life will be held in the Spring of 2024. A memorial fund is being established in Betty's name. Shelby E. Seegert, age 60, of Cascade, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday (May 12, 2019) at her home with her family by her side. Shelby was born on March 13, 1959 in Milwaukee, WI, a daughter of the late William and Mary Jane Klusmeyer. She graduated from Milwaukee Hamilton High School in 1977. On March 20th, 1982 she married Frank Seegert at the Chapel of the Bells in Milwaukee. The couple has resided in Cascade since 1992. Shelby enjoyed camping and spending time with her kids. Survivors include: her loving husband: Frank; One son: Marvin Seegert (Friend: Jessica Daniels) and their son, Cashton; One daughter: Shera Seegert (Friend: Scott Schomberg); Eight siblings: Carol (Nick) Williams, Ed Groleau, Andrea (Quinten) Way, Tim Groleau, Linda (Lenard) LaRose, Danny Groleau, Robert (Julie) Groleau, Pam (Mike) Fountain; Two sisters-in-law: Shirley Sackitt and Teri Seegert; and Three brothers-in-law: William Roche, John (Mary) Seegert and Bill (Hope) Seegert. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Shelby was preceded in death by her parents; One brother; Tony Groleau, One sister-in-law: Laura Roche. Celebration of Shelby's life will be held at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Thursday (May 16, 2019) with visitation from 4 - 8 P.M. Ronald James "Ron" Joslyn, age 86, of Cascade, WI, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2019, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. He was born March 25, 1933, son of the late Walter N. and Helen (Jamiska) Joslyn in Chicago, IL, where he lived until 1943 and then spent his childhood on the family farm in Cascade. Ron went on to graduate from Plymouth High School as the class of 1950 Vice President. Ron joined the United States Navy following graduation and earned the rank of Electronic Technician 2nd class. He spent time on submarines and taught Navy ROTC students at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering. It was in Oxford that Ron met and married Cecilia "Bonnie" Bonbright. They had four children, Daniel, Steven, Tarry, and Katie and were married 24 years. During that time, he worked for Westinghouse, Collins Radio, Railway Express, Price Waterhouse, and Johnson Controls. On March 21, 1987, Ron married Barbara Boll-Fritz. They lived together on the Joslyn family homestead until his passing. For many years Ron was the owner and operator of General Business Services and served on the Planning Commission Board for the Town of Lyndon. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He also loved to travel in his camper and often took it for weekend events at Road America. He had a passion for fishing, reading and general tinkering, and was great at grilling. Later in life, Ron enjoyed time at home building log fires and playing computer games. He was a kind, loving, smart, and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include: Wife: Barbara; Four children: Daniel (Karol) Joslyn of Crystal Lake, Steven Joslyn of Arden, NC, Tarry (Butch) Blanke of Black Earth, WI, and Katie (Mike) Roberts of Cascade; Step-children: Robin (Ken) Ivey of Manitowoc, Brian (Vickie) Fritz of Gainesville, GA, Perry (Lori) Fritz of Sheboygan, and Gary Fritz of New Berlin; 15 Grandchildren; and Brother-in-law: Jerry Boll of Sheboygan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Robert (Bonnie) Joslyn. A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held on Tuesday (April 16, 2019) at 6:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Tom Fleischmann will officiate. Visitation will take place at the Suchon Funeral Home on Tuesday (April 16) from 4:00 P.M. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ron's name.
