Linda (Ashby) Blackburn passed from this life November 10, 2023, at the age of 79 in the loving care of her daughter and son-in-law Carla and Mark Sykes in their home in Knoxville, TN. Linda grew up in Bemis, TN and lived in Jackson, TN most of her adult life. She was a licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselor for many years. Linda found great joy in her life's professional work of helping adolescents and adults overcome addiction and supporting their families. She started and expanded behavioral health programs throughout the region. Linda loved and was deeply respected by colleagues in the court systems and medical community of West Tennessee. She spent decades bringing hope and healing to countless families. In 2015, she moved to Knoxville to assist her daughter in caring for her mother during the end of her life.
