Denise Doreen Troutman, 58, of Woodland, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, due to complications from adenocarcinoma of the lung. Born February 7, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Dianna Bowman. Mrs. Troutman is predeceased by her grandparents Everett Llewellyn and Mildred Llewellyn-Jacobs and Albert and Cleo Bowman, her parents, father-in-law Roy Troutman, Sr. and sisters Sherry Kyle, Jonnille Morrissey and Laura Bowman. Denise graduated from Valley High School in 1984 and attended the Career Center during school. Denise most recently worked at Sterling Care Frostburg Village but was also employed in the past at Allegany Ambulance Service, Bayliner, The Silver Leaf Dining Room and the Depot Restaurant. A talented seamstress, she is remembered for making the best Halloween costumes. Denise enjoyed spending time with her family and hosted all the holidays at her home. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts, shopping, Bingo and playing slots. Denise was the true definition of a mother not only to her boys, but to the whole family. Denise leaves behind her husband, Roy Troutman, Jr. ; her boys, Zachary Frost and fiancé Hailey Myers and Roy Troutman III; grandchildren who were the light of her life Hayden and Kane Frost; mother-in-law Dottie Troutman; siblings Michelle McGowen, Stefanee Friend and husband Thomas, Shane Sloan and Amy Bowman; sister-in-law, Rebecca Lucas; brother-in-laws, Randy Kyle and Rodney Troutman; aunts Carol Crowe, Lorraine Guthrie, Janet Royer and Tammy Wilkinson; nieces and nephews Randa Mauck, Travis Kyle, Janae Calhoun, Ally Friend, Janessa Boyce, Thomas Friend, Andrew Gamber, Mackaylee McGowen; also left behind are numerous family and friends. Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 5 to 8 pm. There will be a private family funeral service. The family would like to thank Sterling Care Frostburg Village for the amazing care provided to Denise over the last nine months.

Martha Ann Burdock, 80, passed away on November 18th, 2023, in Westminster, MD, at the home of her daughter, Laurie Burdock. Martha was an animal lover, from horses to her beloved dog Chloe, she loved all creatures big and small, and enthusiastic photographer, always capturing memories for her family to treasure. Born on April 22nd, 1943 in Dubois, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Mary Lou and Paul Coleman. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Jim Burdock, and her brother Eugene Coleman. Surviving are her children; daughter, Rhonda Parsons, her husband John Parsons, son Rick Burdock, daughter Laurie Burdock, her partner Janelle Creighton, and son Randy Burdock; her grandchildren, Jesse, his wife Teann, Megan, Cody, his wife Bethany, Taylor, Hunter, and her wife Rachel; her great grandchildren, whom she spoiled and adored, Wally, Nathaniel, Joelle, Natalie, Levi, Scarlett, Malachi, and Elijah; her sister, Mary Minnick; her nieces and nephews, Cinda, Cheryl, Mark, Pam, Paul, Serena, Kelly, Josh, Jack, Jennifer, Tanya, Todd, Terrell, Tara, Dana, Serena, Jerry, Wendy, Daniel, Roxie, and David – and a community she loved dearly. Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave. , Frostburg, MD, on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023, from noon-2 pm. Frostburg, MD - Reverend James K. Peters, 83, of Frostburg, MD, went Home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Born October 15, 1940, in Paw Paw, WV, Rev. Peters was the son of the late Floyd Peters and Dorothy (Proudfoot) Peters King. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Floyd, Ronald, and Larry Peters; his sister: Arbutus Peters; and his first wife: Judy Peters. Rev. Peters moved to Cumberland as a youth at the age of 10. He worked as a Pressman at the Cumberland Times News for many years, and was a Minister at Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of Cumberland for over 40 years. Rev. Peters enjoyed jogging, reading the Bible and spending time with his grandchildren. Rev. Peters is survived by his wife of 36 years: Candy (Stimmetz) Peters; his children: Pam Wotring and husband, Tim, Terri Hinkle and husband, Charlie, and Bethany Rush and husband William; and his grandchildren: Timothy and Josh Wotring, Travis Hinkle; and Brooklyn Starr, Madilyn Rayne, and Gunner James Rush; as well as a special young lady who was like a daughter to him: Diane Schoenadel and husband, William. A memorial service will be held at On Fire Ministries, 477 Eastern Avenue Cumberland, MD, on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 11:00 A. M. with Pastors Dave, Sr. and Jackie Lindsay officiating. Mary Sue (Wilhelm) Glass, 78, died Sunday, November 5th ready to enter a new life free of Parkinson's disease and surrounded by the husband, daughter and family that she has deeply missed. Born September 14, 1945 to the late Margaret (Crump) Wilhelm and Carl Wilhelm. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of almost 57 years Darrell (Hut) Glass; daughter, Joan Sayler and brother, Edward Wilhelm. Mary Sue was a homemaker after the birth of her first child often commenting that all she wanted to be was a mom and she wanted a dozen kids! She and Hut only had 3 but Mary Sue was a babysitter to many. She kept a list and at last count she had touched the lives of 175 children. A lifelong member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Mt. Savage and the Women of St. George. Mary Sue contributed to her church family and community through the years. Dessert making was always a joy for Mary Sue taking pride in winning the dessert contest several years at family reunions. Christmas held a special joy in her heart as she loved to give gifts and send and receive Christmas cards. Even as Parkinson's took a toll, Mary Sue was known for her love for Hut and a wit and spunk that would still shine through. Surviving are her daughter, Carla Geary and husband Brian; son, Rick Glass and wife Vicky; grandchildren, Walker Geary and wife Ally, Paige Geary and Fiancé Brad Becraft, Claire Darnell and husband Nathan, Laken Glass and fiancé Greg Nehls, McKenzie Glass and boyfriend Weston Hilliard; great granddaughter, Stevie Joan Darnell; great grandson, Woodson Bradford Becraft; sister, Ann Rogers as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and the good neighbors of Sunnyside, past and present Family and friends will be received St. George's Episcopal Church, 12811 St. George's Lane, Mt.
