Robert "Bob" Donald Repass, Sr. , 90, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at UNC Health Lenoir. Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia "Pat" Mallon Repass, parents; James Henry Repass and Rose Waldron Repass, and siblings; Virginia Crumley, June Wolff, Lettie Moran, Jackie Repass, and Joan "Mickey" Malone. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Army and loved sharing stories from the time he served his country. He retired from the McCrory Corporation after 44 years. During his career, he was able to impact many lives and share the Lord's love by making sure no one was going without during the holiday season. He was fondly known as the "man with the green pen". He leaves many positively touched by his principles, love and purpose. His gifts to those he touched will be passed on to others. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Church. He was a loving, loyal, and dedicated Christian. Spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, was his greatest blessing and joy. They created many memories which included traveling, watching Duke and NC State basketball, Professional Bull Riding, Western shows, NASCAR races, and game shows. He also had great pride in caring for his yard. Bob is survived by his daughter; Patricia (Taffy) Repass Jones and husband Charley of Trenton, sons; Robert Donald Repass, Jr. and wife Angie of Texas, James Joseph Repass and wife Teresa of Kinston, grandchildren; Mathew Brock Jones, Marion Grace Jones, Robert Donald Repass, III and wife Emma, Kristin Repass Brown and husband Michael, and Kara Repass Parker. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the North Carolina Veteran's Home and UNC Lenoir Healthcare. Memeorial service will be held at Howard Carter Funeral home on Saturday, December 16, at 11:00 am, burial to follow at Westview Cemetary with Pastor John Robert Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Carolina Veteran's Home in Kinston, NC. -Show more
