Delroy Lee Wallace, age 86, of Greenfield Twp. , passed away at his home on Father's Day, June 19, 2022. He was born in Clearfield County on Sept. 5, 1935, the son of the late Theodore L. and Jeanette M. (Fleck) Wallace. Delroy was a U. S. Army veteran. He was employed by Snap-Tite, Inc. for 26 years prior to his retirement. A dedicated provider and family man, Delroy was an extremely hardworking man his entire life. Throughout his employment history, he would often hold down two or three jobs; one of which was with the former Hill and Hill Engineering in North East. After "retirement", he took on the job of greeter at the Harborcreek Wal-Mart, which evolved more into a full rather than part-time job. Delroy had been an active member of the Harborcreek Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his church family at various church-sponsored events and dinners. In addition to his parents, Delroy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 39 years, Jeanette L. (Lindsey) Wallace, and five siblings: Sam Wallace, Pearl Dorrity, Dorothy Dodd, Bertha Gibbs, and Maize Forsten. Survivors include his two daughters, Robin Wallace and Cindi Erdman; two granddaughters, Lyndsay Wallace and Laura Erdman; one great-granddaughter, Allison Ponder; three siblings: John Wallace (Marge), Tom Wallace (Janice), and Beatrice Wroblewski (Joseph); and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the Harborcreek Baptist Church, 4719 Buffalo Rd. , on Friday from 4:00 p. m. until the time of the Memorial Service to be conducted there at 5:00 p. m. by the Rev. David Roach, Pastor. Delroy will be laid to rest privately, beside his wife, at North East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harborcreek Baptist Church or to the family in care of the funeral home.
