Della Monticolo Obituary

"SCHENECTADY - Della Pickett Monticolo, 76, passed away at Ellis Hospital on Monday, after a long illness. Della was born on December 19, 1946, the daughter of the late Delbert and Wanda Bruzdzinski Pickett. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. She was employed for over 20 years as a claims adjuster for Travelers Insurance Company. She was a strong and independent woman, with a kind soul, who loved abundantly and will be remembered as a dedicated caretaker to her mother, children, and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Monticolo and siblings, Delbert Pickett and Lillian VonWedal. Della is survived by her children, Dawn (Chris) Krosky, and James Griffin, Jr. ; grandchildren, Christopher Krosky, (twins) Gregory and Sean Krosky, Marissa Griffin, and (twins) James Griffin, III and Raina Griffin; siblings, Ronald Pickett, Donald (Elaine) Pickett, William (Alisa) Pickett, Sharon Chase, Edward (Linda) Pickett and Gloria Civitello; many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Friday at 11 am at the Rossi \u0026amp; Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi \u0026amp; Ditoro Funeral Home on Friday from 10-11 am.
