Doris was her given name but was affectionately known as Skeet to all who knew and loved her. Skeet was a mother figure and mentor to literally hundreds, and was an integral part in raising numerous family members. Skeet had a fierce love and loyalty for her family and taught us all about strength and perseverance. If we all could just capture an iota of her strength we all would be better people. She was an immovable force, full of love, compassion, strength and guidance. She was an aunt, great aunt and great, great aunt that simply loved and adored all her nieces and nephews. Not only was she an aunt, but a co-parent for her devoted nephew Dunstan Kenderick whom she loved as a treasured son. She was a co-grandparent for Dunstan's children to help carry on Faye's memory with his children. Doris was smart, feisty and funny and held strong to her convictions, and did not waver. Doris was our warrior queen, at the tender age of almost 25 Doris was placed on hemodialysis and for the next 41 years this treatment became a way of life. Her strength was and is immeasurable, she never complained, she never hedged, she had a zest for life and she refused to let this stop her. She loved God and put all of her trust in him.
