Ballaro (nee Madden); loving and devoted father of Karen A. (Jerry) Dellas, Dr. Michael P. (Christine) McMullen, Timothy W. (Diane) McMullen, Colleen Peters, Thomas A. (Lauren) McMullen and Scott B. (Christine) McMullen; adored son of the late Arthur J. and Alice M. (nee Moore) McMullen; cherished grandfather of Nikki (Dan) Kruse, Timothy Dellas, Meg Dellas, Maria McMullen, Daniel (Cali) McMullen , Kelly (Jeremy) Adler, Lindsay Castro, Noah Peters, Joshua Peters, Jeremiah (Emily) Peters, Samuel Peters, Olivia Peters, Sophie McMullen, Jonas McMullen, Andrew McMullen, Braden McMullen and the late Shawn McMullen; dear great- grandfather of Jack and Elle Gratien, Penny and Jay Kruse, Charlie Esposito, McKenzie, Juliette, Amelia and Eliza Adler, and Bianca McMullen; dear brother of Kathleen M. (Gerald) Saxe, Sharon A. McMullen and the late James A. McMullen,DDS, Patricia A. Triandiflou and Joanne M. Henry; loving and supportive Uncle to countless nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Amigone Funeral Home, Inc. , 5200 Sheridan Dr. (corner Hopkins Rd. ). A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, December 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the University at Buffalo Newman Center, 495 Skinnersville Road, Amherst, NY. He was a serial entrepreneur most notably remembered for McMullen Dental Supply. He loved fishing, golfing and traveling. He also enjoyed wintering in Florida. Share condolences at AMIGONE. com***************************William (Bill) was born in Buffalo, NY on February 8th, 1936 to Arthur J. and Alice M McMullen, and was the eldest of their 6 children. Bill attended St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute in Kenmore, NY and went on to further his higher education at both Marquette University and St. Bonaventure University where Bill studied business. Shortly thereafter, Bill started his own family and quickly became the head of the family business, McMullen Dental. Bill would eventually grow his company from a single location in Buffalo to four locations spanning the entirety of New York State. Bill would ultimately sell McMullen Dental to a large national firm. Upon exiting the dental business, Bill continued to invest in and operate several other businesses. These included real estate, restaurants, small manufacturing, and other service businesses in retail and healthcare. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed a lifetime as an avid golfer, an enthusiastic traveler, and he loved spending time with his wife Terri, his children and his many grand and great grandchildren.Show more
