Deborah Ruth White (Debbie), born on May 25, 1950 in Oakland City, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh IN. Debbie was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the daughter of George and Opal Fiscus. She married her loving husband of 54 years Verl White on April 4th, 1969 in Petersburg IN. Together, they had three children that they loved dearly. She is survived by her loving husband Verl White. Her children Stephanie Forney (Bert) and Andrea Pullum (Gary). Grandchildren Chelsea Hobbs (Steven), Dakota Pullum (Brianna), MaKayla Backer (Mike) and Courtney Forney. Great Grandchildren Coltin Pullum, Everleigh Backer, Jackson Backer, Cooper Pullum, and Elouise Hobbs. Siblings Cathy Patterson, Fred Fiscus, and Eddie Fiscus. Many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by parents George and Opal Fiscus, sister Judee Fiscus, son Verl Ryan White and her puppy dog Hershey White. Her accomplishments included the career academy, past president Warrick County Homemakers Extension, Associate Member of UMWA Local 1907, Lifetime Member at Thresherman Park, organized fundraisers for Winslow Masonic Lodge, member of Warrick County Shrine Club, coordinated bus trips and activities for Local 1907. She was a member of Oak Hill Church of Christ. She loved traveling in the RV to watch her grandchildren drag race. In lieu of flowers please donate to The Shriner's Children's Hospital. Funeral visitation will be held at Boone Funeral Home Evansville, IN on September 13, 2023 from 4:00 - 8:00 p. m. with the funeral being held on September 14, 2023 at 10:00 a. m. visitation from 9:00 a. m. until time of service. Burial will follow to Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana.

Judy K. Howard (Cassiday), 75 of Oakland City, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City. She was born September 10, 1948 to Clifford and Mildred Cassiday. She married Michael "Mike" Howard Oct 2, 1966. She worked at Perdue Farms for 39 years. The hardest working lady you have ever met, she loved going on outings with her family, old western shows, and most of all her grandchildren. Judy is survived by her siblings, Cleo of Evandal, Az, Susan (Kenny) of Evansville, Harry of Oakland City, Pam (Billy) of Oakland City; children Michael "Mikie" (Ladonna Straw) of Princeton, Mark Allen of Oakland City, and Matthew (Amy) of Oakland City; grandchildren, Jerusalem, Matthew "MD2", Quinton, Katie (Dometri), and Casey; great grandsons, Levi, Oliver, and great granddaughter Odessa; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mike, son Greg and grandchildren Lucas, Johnny, and Kristina. A funeral service will be held 11 a. m. Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City with Pastor Ronald Vickers officiating. Burial will follow in the Montgomery Cemetery. Clarence Franklin "Lefty" Arbuthnot, 86, of Oakland City, Indiana passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Lefty was born on January 9, 1937, to the late Paul Ellwain and Clyde Elizabeth (Mans) Arbuthnot. Lefty was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #4288 and American Legion #256. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, golfing, gardening, poker, and cards. Lefty was in the United States Marine Corps. Lefty had taken two to three motorcycle trips to California. Left spent his retirement years in Texas and Florida for the winter. Lefty is retired from Potter Brumfield and Siemens. He will be greatly missed. Lefty is survived by his daughters, Susan Taber (Rusty Graves) of Lexington, Kentucky, and Debra McIntosh (Homer) of Oakland City; son, David Arbuthnot (Cindy) of Evansville, IN; stepsons, Jack (Delores) Harrington of Owensville, IN, Jerry (Sandy) Harrington of Oakland City, IN; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy "Diana" Denton, 76 of Oakland City, IN, passed away October 13, 2023, with her daughters by her side at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. Diana was born on June 13, 1947, in Petersburg, IN to the late Kenneth Reed and Bessie Reed Young of Ayrshire, IN. She was a 1965 graduate of Winslow High School and worked for Farbest foods for 32 years. Diana was a hardworking, dedicated, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, games with her grandkids, family outings, camping, movies, and anything to do with Elvis Presley. Diane was the world's #1 Elvis fan and loved flowers, especially sunflowers. Diana is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald; a son, Darrin, of Oakland City, IN; two daughters, Kimberly, of Princeton, IN and Julie (Nick) Sterczer of Francisco, IN; two brothers, Kenny Reed of Washington, IN, and Jim (Sherida) Reed of Oakland City, IN; two sisters, Deedira Bockhold of Garden Grove, California, and Patty Young of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Destany (Jesse) Davis, Selina (Jeremy) Denton, Kyndall (Noah), Kayden, Kaleb, and Kohlman Sterczer, Braydon Jenkins, and great-grandchildren, Brianna and Kamden, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members Diana was preceded in death by her parents, a brother-in law Joseph Bockhold, and her niece Layla. Danny Walker Morris, 77, peacefully passed away September 23, 2023 at his home in Oakland City. He married his High School love Donna Lovell on December 26, 1964. Together they have a daughter, Cindy, and two grandsons, Zachary & Tyler Stolz. After graduation from Greenville High School in Greenville, KY in 1964 he signed his first profession baseball contract with the Minnesota Twins where He played professional baseball for 8 years in both the Major and Minor leagues. In 1965 he set the strike out record for the Wisconsin Rapids in the Midwest League by averaging 11 strikeouts per 9 innings to earn TOPPS Player of the month for August 1965. He was named a Kentucky Colonel the same year. In 2016 he was inducted into the inaugural Muhlenberg County Athletic Hall of Fame along with other Meulenberg County greats. Danny considered this to be one of his greatest accomplishments. After retiring from the MLB due to injuries--he moved to Oakland City to work along side his father, Clyde Morris, at Old Ben Coal. After Old Ben Coal closed, Danny opened Friends Bar & Grill with his wife Donna in 1990. For 33 years he loved working at Friends and making lifelong friends that he cherished. Danny is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna, his daughter, Cindy Morris Stolz and grandsons, Zach and Tyler Stolz, Brother Wayne Morris (Marilyn) of Providence, Ky, Sister-in-law Ann Tudor (ED) of Lexington, KY, Brother-in-law Brent "Scoob" Lovell of Petersburg, IN, nephews Mike and Mark Morris, niece Whitney Ann Tudor Sarver, Ph. D. and nephew Joshua Tudor. He was preceded in death by his parents Marion Clyde and Garnet Morris and his in-laws Melvin and Bernice Lovell all of Greenville, KY. Services for Danny will take place at 11 AM EST on Wednesday, September 27, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with visitation from 4 - 8 PM EST on Tuesday, September 26, at the funeral home. Christine Brock, 63, of Oakland City, Indiana passed away peacefully on September 14th, 2023, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home after a long, well fought battle with her health. Christine was born on December 25, 1959, in Beech Grove, Indiana to Bill and the late Betty Brock. Christine was a graduate of Wood Memorial High School. Christine was a proud mother, grandmother, and loving daughter. She will be immensely missed. Christine spent her life as a homemaker-- there is nothing she wouldn't do for her children or her family. Through the decades of her life, she always babysat children while also raising three children of her own. To know Christine personally was to love her-- her life's mission was to ensure everyone around her family was cared for while lovingly teaching her children to do the same. Christine always made sure you had plenty of love, plenty of laughs, and plenty to eat. The door to her home was never closed to anyone and was a safe space anyone could land when they needed anything. Christine is survived by her children, Billy Bye, Anthony (Jessica) Bye, and Vanessa Bye; life partner, Wayne Bye; grandchildren, Jacob, Damian, Aydan, Grayson, Adalynn, Courtney, Emilie, and Payton; father, Billy Brock; Siblings, Vince (Denise) Brock and Beverly (Eddie) Hall; great-granddaughter, Oaklynn Marie Bye.
