Deborah Lorraine Breazeale Latimer, a devoted wife, loving mother, friend to all, and a die-hard Gamecock fan, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2023 surrounded by her family and in front her lake view. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Deborah was born on November 8, 1963. She is survived by her loving husband, Brandt; three children, Ashley, Caroline, and Blake; father, Earl Breazeale (Jennifer), and sister, Tina Jacobs(Brian). She was predeceased by her mother, Merrie Breazeale. Deborah graduated from Lower Richland High School in 1981, and in 1986, she earned her Early Childhood Education degree from Winthrop College. At Winthrop College, she forged strong bonds with her sorority sisters from Sigma Sigma Sigma. After graduating from Winthrop College, Deborah taught at North Elementary in North, SC. On October 15, 1988, Deborah embarked on a new chapter of her life as she exchanged vows with the love of her life, Brandt Latimer. Their union was a testament to love, support, and partnership, and it brought forth a family built on a foundation of love and understanding. From 1988 to 1990, Deborah and Brandt called Oak Harbor, Washington home, where they forged lasting memories and deepened their bond. While in Washington, Deborah taught children at a mental health facility. In 1990, they relocated to Powder Springs, Georgia, where Deborah continued her dedication to education, teaching at HeadStart and a pre-kindergarten class. It was during this time that she welcomed her three beloved children, Ashley, Caroline, and Blake. Deborah's nurturing spirit and unconditional love shaped them into the remarkable individuals they are today. In 2000, the Latimer family settled in Lexington, South Carolina, where Deborah spent a few years selflessly raising her kids with Brandt. After a few years, Deborah jumped into new and exciting endeavors making jewelry and then selling real estate. Deborah's last job before her hard earned retirement was with some dear friends as a real estate admin. Her keen insight, integrity, and exceptional organizational skills led her to excel in all she attempted. Deborah's impact extended far beyond her professional endeavors. She was known for her boundless kindness, infectious laughter, and an open heart that welcomed everyone she met. If you knew her, you knew she was a hugger and would freely share her love and warmth with all. Her home was a haven of warmth and hospitality, where friends and family gathered to share in the love that she so generously gave. Over the years, Deborah gained and cultivated amazing friendships that she cherished in her last moments. She will forever be grateful to those who supported and lifted her up, as she attempted to do for others. Deborah was a dedicated traveler and found so much joy in experiencing new and old places with the ones she loved, especially the beach. Deborah Lorraine Breazeale Latimer will forever be remembered as a woman of unwavering faith and a beacon of love in the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her.
