"James Adrian Bouchillon 12/23/1971 - 9/19/2023 James Adrian Bouchillon, 51, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Adrian is survived by his wife, Kathryn Yarbrough Bouchillon, and their children Avery and Gabrielle (Gabby); his father and mother, James and Gloria Bouchillon; his brother, Brian (Heather) Bouchillon; seven nieces and nephews that he adored and several other close family members. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Theodore and Evelyn Bouchillon and Earl and Faye DeBerry. Everyone that knew Adrian appreciated his loving and caring nature and fun outlook on life. He treasured spending time with his family and friends whether it was sharing a meal, having fun on the lake, hunting or fishing. Adrian attended Centre First United Methodist Church and Mt. Bethel Church in Marietta. He graduated from Cherokee County High School as Salutatorian (Class of 1990) and Auburn University with honors. Adrian had a successful career for almost 30 years with Core \u0026amp; Main (formerly Hughes Supply). A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 23rd, at Centre First United Methodist Church, with Brother Melvin Salter officiating. Chris Tillery and Jarrod Bazemore will also contribute to the service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Worship \u0026amp; Education Center adjacent to the church. A private burial will be held by the family. Pallbearers will be Jarrod Bazemore, Michael Gorman, Jake Graves, Hughbert Latham, Chris Tillery and Kevin Turner. "Emily Annette Coley Curry Martin, age 79, passed away Sunday, September 17th, 2023 at her home in Centre. Emily was born in the Ball Play Community on November 2nd, 1943 and subsequently moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1988 where she was a corporate travel agent until retiring and moved back to Centre. Emily's work history included the following: bookkeeper for Cherokee Motors, Human Resource Director for K Mart, Maritz Travel Agency for the last 23 years until retirement. Her hobbies included gardening, running, watching Alabama Football, Hallmark Movies, birds and her grandchildren and great grandchildren playing sports. Emily also enjoyed playing the trumpet, hand bells, and singing in the church choir. Above all, Emily enjoyed going to church, reading her bible, and teaching Sunday School. Survivors include children, Scott (Lynn) Curry and Abby (Craig) Conley. Grandchildren include Lynden (David) Seals, Libby Curry, Dottie and Jack Young. Great Grandchildren are Campbell and Coley Seals. Preceded in death by Carl Houston Coley, father; Dorothy Elizabeth Coley, mother. During his years of service to his country he met and on May 3, 1953, married the love of his life, Mary Imogene Shoops. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this past May. After leaving the Air Force at the end of 1954, Mr. McGrew moved his wife \u0026amp; daughter to Cleveland, MS where he attended Delta State College and earned a BBA in Accounting in 1957. From there, it was on to Oxford, MS with his wife \u0026amp; 3 children where he earned his MBA at the University of Mississippi in 1958. After graduate school he worked \u0026amp; resided in Memphis, TN -- Christian Brothers College; Due West, SC -- Erskine College; Walhalla, SC -- Kenneth Mills; East Point, GA -- Piedmont Cotton Mill; College Park, GA \u0026amp; Centre, AL -- McGrew \u0026amp; Associates. Three more children were added to the family between 1959 \u0026amp; 1963, while they lived in Memphis, TN \u0026amp; Due West, SC, bringing the family to a total of eight. Mr. McGrew's family was his pride and joy in life. Herbert L. "Ret. Lt. Albert Dale Townley, CCFD, age 60, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away at his home in Centre, Alabama on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, August 18, 2023 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Pastor Shayne Newton officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Born in Atlanta, Dale lived in Austell for most of his life before moving to Villa Rica 10 years ago. He graduated from South Cobb High School in 1981, the joined the U. S. Navy, having served for 4 years. After working for the Cobb County Water Department, he joined the Cobb County Fire Department, retiring as a Lieutenant in 2015. While at the Fire Department, he served on the Honor Guard and was a Smoke Diver #584. He volunteered as a Rescue Diver with Douglas County, and enjoyed spending time with his family on Lake Weiss in Alabama. Mr. Charles L. Furr, age 92, of Centre, AL passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023. Mr. Furr was born on June 16, 1931 in Powder Springs, GA to the late Mr. George M. Furr and the late Mrs. Fannie Lou Ellis Furr. Charles proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired after working at Lockheed for 26 years. He was an active member of The Cherokee Co. Cattleman's Association. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sarah "Betty" Moss Furr. Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Gail Wilkins (Ronnie) of Dallas, Donna Porter Lee of Powder Springs, Michael Furr of Acworth, Larry Furr (Beverly) of Powder Springs, and Sheila Furr of Buford.
