Sheree Lynn Levanti (66) of Sarasota, Florida passed away on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023. She was born October 14, 1957 in Tipp City, Ohio. Sheree was the adopted daughter of Richard Mearle Sturm and Jean Sturm. She was born in Hamilton County, Ohio and raised in Tipp City, Ohio where she graduated from Tippecanoe High School in 1976. In 1983, Sheree moved to Sarasota, Florida with her best friends, Joyce and Joe Blizman. There, she secured a job with Barnett Bank as a loan processor and then rose to executive secretary to the president, where she spent 14 years. In 1997, Sheree joined Ken Levanti in the family business at Sarasota Trophy & Awards, retiring in 2023. Sheree first met Ken Levanti in 1984 on a blind date. They were married in May 1986. Soon after, they started their family with the birth of Sara Lillian Levanti and Daniel Joseph Levanti. Sheree's joy was her family. She was always involved with the kids' activities as a team mom--sewing uniforms and serving food. Her proudest moments were when she watched her children graduate from college and when she became Grandmother "Mimi" to identical twin girls, Aubrey and McKenzie Shapiro of Orlando, Florida. Sheree is survived by her husband, Kenneth Levanti; daughter, Sara Shapiro (Levanti) and husband, David; granddaughters, Aubrey and McKenzie Shapiro; son Daniel Levanti and wife, Jessica; and brother Scott Sturm and wife Rachelle. Sheree was blessed in 1988 to find her biological mother, Sally Davis Hershberger of Piqua, Ohio and her biological father, Doug Sotzing of Troy, Ohio. Sheree was also blessed with a number of siblings that soon became her extended family. Brother Bill (and Janie) Hershberger of Troy, Ohio; Sister Cindy (and Tom) Hershberger Lillicrap of Piqua, Ohio; Paul (and Ronda) Hershberger of Troy, Ohio; and Steve (and Mila) Hershberger of Kenton, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Floyd Anthony Perna Jr. , age 85, of Sarasota, FL. passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. He was born in Stamford, CT and moved to Sarasota in 1973. He was a Sergeant in the National Guard, an Electrical Contractor and owner of the Sarasota Electronics store. Floyd was an avid craftsman, he enjoyed scuba diving, collecting shark teeth, cats and his family. Floyd was preceded in death by his wives, Nancy and Doris. He is survived by his children, Todd Perna (Carmen), David Perna (Christina) and Wendy Perna (Ron Klazon); his grandchildren, Sierra, Savana, Rylee, Jeremy and Joshua, several step grandchildren; and his children's mom, Brenda McKinnon. Mario B. Hernandez, 85, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Caibarien, Cuba died December 2, 2023 at Tidewell Hospice in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Mario was a lifelong jokester. No matter what the situation, he always had a joke to tell or a song to sing; often being the only one laughing at his own made-up jokes. His love of the sea carried over from his endless days and nights in Cuba working on sugar cane freighters. He loved spending time with his blended and chosen family who are spreading out between Cuba, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, Washington, and Mexico. He loved traveling with his wife and spending his retirement years living between Cozumel and the US. He had a sincere and passionate love for animals. He and his wife adopted and cared for many dogs and cats throughout their forty-plus year marriage. Mario had a bright and energetic personality and was known for his generosity and kindness towards others. He will be missed by many. Mario was preceded in death by his father, Heriberto Hernandez; mother, Rita Rodriguez; step-mother, Edelmira Olivera; children Mario E. and Jorge F. Hernandez; and is survived by his wife, Ruth A Hernandez; children Alejandro L. (Virginia) Hernandez and Sandra T. (Gilberto) Perez; step-children Renee a. (Andy) Renberg, Robin S. (Ron) Packer, and James I. (Judy) Renberg; daughter-in-law Connie Hernandez; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved chosen family in Cozumel, Mexico. There will be a graveside service at 3pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park. Men are encouraged to wear a guayabera and Cuban hat in his honor. Victor Bruce Coffey, age 57, of Sarasota, Florida went to be with Jesus on Friday, December 1, 2023. He was born to a loving family as the third of four boys, to the late Douglas W. Coffey, Sr. and Carolyn Sue Coffey, on July 28, 1966 in Sarasota, Florida where he lived all his life. He enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and answering the puzzle before the contestants would. Football was always on whenever Bruce was around during season, especially if the Cowboys were playing, as that was his favorite team. Bruce followed his father's legacy and worked in the air conditioning trade throughout his life. He enjoyed spending his vacations in the Great Smoky Mountains each year with his family. There will be a service to celebrate Bruce's life on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home - Wiegand Chapel, 7454 S Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231. Mary Louise Bellamy (Grandma) was born on April 25, 1923, to Carrie Bell Bellamy and Clarence Nicks. She danced with the King and his angels on Dec 4, 2023. Mary was a devoted servant of the Lord through her ministry at Mt. Raymond Missionary Baptist Church. She glorified the Lord daily through her ministry and many contributions serving as an usher and gloried the Lord through her singing praise. She was an advocate for the community through several ventures communicating with community leaders from early years of farming and an entrepreneur in restaurant hospitality. She was best known for her fried chicken sandwiches and lemon poundcake. Mary leaves this earthly world with loving memories - her two living sons Harrison Bellamy and Ola Pearl (wife) and Raymond Bellamy; Ulysses Bellamy and Tag Bellamy (brothers); Mattie Mae Mathis (sister). Thirty grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
