Deborah (Dee) Bostic, 72, of Marmet went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Hubbard Hospice House, surrounded by her family. Dee was born September 6, 1951 in Charleston, WV to Cecil and Arlene Elkins. She graduated from East Bank High School in 1969. She was the former owner and operator of The Hair Scene in Marmet and retired in 2013 from J. C. Penny. Dee fought a courageous battle during her short illness and was extremely brave in her fight. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and child of God. She was a proud East Bank graduate and an avid WVU fan. Dee had a tremendous love for her family and always showed love in her heart for anyone she met. Anyone who knew or met her would know that God is gaining a great one! Dee's kindness, encouragement and fighting spirit will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, Charles (Dutch) Bostic; daughter, Brandi (Scott) Shuler of Dixie; grandchildren, Timothy II and Amelia; sisters, Karen (Don) Ellis of Murrells Inlet, SC; Christi (Jim) Searls of Belle; Kim (Tom) Stewart of Charleston; brothers-in-law Harry (Linda) Bostic of Dry Branch; Curt Bostic of Dry Branch and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Service will be held at O'Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery, WV. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 11-12 noon. Service will immediately follow at 12 noon, with Rev. Steve Arden officiating. Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, WV. A special thank you to all who assisted in Dee's care. Nina "June" Perdue (Case) began her heavenly journey on December 4, 2023. She was born on August 26, 1926, to the late Virgie and Jeff Mayes in McDunn, West Virginia. She was one of 16 children, the only high school graduate in her family, and a lifelong Christian. She was a resident of Falls View Village and had resided there for over 60 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian church at Falls View and served as the treasurer of the church for many years. She was married to Orville Jack Case, Sr. for over 40 years. Upon his passing she was remarried to Horace Perdue for approximately 14 years. She is survived by her son, Orville Jack Case, Jr. (Louise), great granddaughter Indea Irene Richardson and numerous nieces and nephews. During the last couple of years of employment, she was employed by several coal companies in company owned stores. During her last years of employment, she was the credit manager for a Sears Catalog Store in Montgomery. In this position she helped many young married couples establish credit. She was well known and liked by many throughout the community. Her neighbors and church family were instrumental in allowing her to remain in her home. The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone who contributed to her care. Service will be held at O'Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 2pm with Pastor Robert Bane officiating. Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens in Glasgow. James "Scott" Arnold Scott, Sr. was born in Eagle, WV on August 03, 1953, and obtained his heavenly rest on Monday, November 06, 2023, at home with his loving wife of 50 years by his side from complications of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). He is the son of the late Willie James Scott and Jewell Elizabeth "Spurlock" Scott. Scott graduated from Montgomery High School in 1972. He lived and raised his children in Deepwater, WV. He retired from Dow Chemical Plant and was well known in his community for being a "Handyman" and "Mr. Fix It". He was a dedicated and hands on father, grandfather, and husband. Scott married his high school sweetheart Geral "Banks" Scott on December 22, 1972. In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by Robert Dickerson (nephew) and Troy Simley (childhood friend, neighbor and brother-in-law). He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Geral Scott and his two children: Dawn Scott of Houston, TX and James (Jake) Scott, Jr. of Deepwater, WV: His five grandchildren: Ceara "CJ" Scott (Austin) of Glenville, WV, Journey "KK" Scott (Garyn) of Pratt, WV, Brenna "BR" Scott (Jake) of Deepwater, WV, Destiny "Dee" Scott of Deepwater, WV, and Brea "Bre Bre" Scott of Deepwater, WV. His great grandson: Raife James Pritt of Pratt, WV. His six sisters: Elizabeth Bushnell of Vallejo, CA, Patricia Dickerson of Charleston, WV, Brenda Watkins of Morgantown, WV, Nancy Scott of Winston Salem, NC, Kathy Newkirk (James) of Kimberly, WV, Toni Smith of Austin, TX and a host of nieces and nephews. Dorothy "Dot Mitchell" Fairfax was born in Ward WV on Monday October 7, 1940, and obtained her heavenly rest on Friday October 27, 2023 at Montgomery General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late George Sr and Martha Mitchell. She was introduced to the word of God at a very young age, attending church faithfully until her health deteriorated. She attended Ward Elementary School, Washinton High School and graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1958. Dorothy lived and raised her children in Smithers WV and Montgomery WV. She was well known in her community and was dedicated to the upbringing of her children. She was an awesome homemaker and a phenomenal mother, introducing her children to the word of God at tender young ages and taking them to Sunday school and church faithfully. She ensured that her children knew the importance of education and self-reliance. In addition to her own children, Dorothy showed love and compassion to many children in the family and in the community. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son Derek Mitchell, her husband Donavon Fairfax and her son Antonio Fairfax, her sisters; Ruby Foster, Katherine Clark, Edith Mitchell and Juanita (Rosie) Mitchell, her brothers; Emmanuel Mitchell, Charles Mitchell, George Mitchell Jr, and Thomas Mitchell Sr. , two grandchildren, Zion Mitchell and Leah Morris. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children; Sherry Mitchell, Barrette Mitchell, Cheryl Mitchell-Terrell, Shelia Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell, Duane Fairfax Sr, Sonja Almonte (Jose), her son by adoption, Christopher Mitchell, as well as, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Earl "Mack" Mayfield Jr. , born on January 16, 1948, journeyed to his eternal rest on September 13, 2023. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Earl Mack "Penny" Mayfield and Elsie Mae Hood Mayfield, his cherished son Matthew Mayfield, and his beloved niece Brandi Lin Mayfield. Mack leaves behind a legacy of love and a family who will forever hold him close in their hearts. He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Tibitha "Sue" Mayfield, and his loving children, daughter Beth Mayfield of Charlton Heights, sons Mack Mayfield (Shonda) of Fayetteville and Mike Mayfield of Fayetteville. Mack's adoration for family extended to his grandchildren: Dustin Boggs (Sara), River Mayfield, Syler Mayfield, Chrissa Mayfield and Colton Mayfield. He also delighted in the joy brought by his great-granddaughter Makenzi Boggs. He is fondly remembered by his sister, Betty-Lynn Sipple, his brother Penny Mayfield (Iris), his brothers-in-laws Keith Jones and Bill Jones, a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, and a large group of friends. Mack was a graduate of Gauley Bridge High School and dedicated decades of his life to his professional endeavors. He retired from Bell Atlantic and later contributed his expertise to Fibernet, Verizon, SLS Carpet Outlet and contracted to West Virginia Manufacturing. His commitment to excellence and strong work ethic were evident throughout his career. Mack was a pillar of his community and a true Mason in every sense. For over 50 years, he was a proud and dedicated member of the Gauley Bridge Masonic Lodge (Lodge 64) A. F. & A. M. His contributions to the lodge and his unwavering fraternal bonds will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude. In the hearts of those who knew him, Mack's memory will forever be a source of inspiration and love. His legacy lives on through his family, his work, and his dedication to community and fraternity. Funeral services to celebrate Mack's life will be held as follows: Visitation will be held Wednesday September 20th, from 6-8pm at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery. Masonic Graveside Rights will be conducted by the Gauley Bridge Masonic Lodge, Lodge 64 A. F. & A. M. on Thursday, September 21st, at 10am at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Victor. Rev.
