George Wayne Jordan, age 82, of Montgomery, Alabama went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 29, 2024. He was born on April 4, 1941, in Luverne, Alabama and attended Lee High School. Following high school, Wayne enlisted in the United States Navy and served for four years, stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii that included a tour of duty in Tokyo, Japan and was released from active duty to serve in the US Naval Reserves until 1964. After his service to our country, Wayne returned home to join the City of Montgomery’s Fire Department, rising to the rank of Fire Marshall upon retirement. After Wayne’s retirement from MFD, he joined the staff of Jackson Hospital as the Head of Security until his second retirement in February 2002. Wayne’s work ethic and being a consistent provider, and steadfast supporter of his family, coworkers, and numerous friends is undoubted. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lee Jordan, and mother, Flarice Odessa Welch of Luverne, Alabama, his loving wife, Patricia Ann Jordan, and his brothers Paul Edward Jordan and Charles Windom Jordan, both of Montgomery, Alabama. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Jordan Killough of Montgomery, Alabama (Jon) and his son, Mark Alan Jordan, of Atlanta, Georgia (Debbie). Wayne is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Jordan Melton of High Point, North Carolina, and Lyn Jordan Nobles (Bill) of Montgomery, Alabama. Wayne was blessed with five grandchildren, GeorgeAnn Elaine Killough, MaryEllis Jordan Killough, and Frances-Grace Renee Killough, of Montgomery, Alabama, and Brody Oliver Jordan and Tatum Elizabeth Jordan, of Atlanta, Georgia, along with several nieces and nephews. He was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. His proudest moments were always grounded in his Christian Faith, the memories of his late mother, “Beulah,” his marriage of 54 years to his wife Patricia, the births of their children, and his grandchildren. He enjoyed Alabama football, fishing, reading the Bible, history, and visiting over the telephone with former coworkers from MFD and Jackson Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s of Central Alabama or a charity of your choice in Wayne’s honor. A graveside service for George will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 starting at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109.

He was born on September 15, 1952, in Dothan, Alabama, and grew up on family farmland in Clayhatchee, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Jones Thompson, his mother, Albie Madelyn Bullington Thompson of Clayhatchee, Alabama, and sister Ora Thompson Nichols Casey of Enterprise, Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Messick Thompson of Montgomery, Alabama, son, Adam Thompson of Pike Road, Alabama, son, Brandon Thompson of Montgomery, Alabama, sister, Judy Howell (Kenneth) of Birmingham, Alabama, sister-in-law Rhonda Messick Lonza (John) of Opelika, Alabama, grandchildren Avery Thompson and Everett Thompson of Pike Road, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews. He was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. His proudest family moments were his Christian Faith, the memories of his late mother, his marriage of 45 years to his wife Barbara, the births of their sons, Adam and Brandon, and their grandchildren, Avery and Everett. "Just a little talk with Jesus" by Redeemed Quartet was his favorite song. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wrestling, gardening, reading, the Bible, history, browsing youtube, watching movies, and spending time with family. Dorothy Lane Pate DeBardeleben, 97 years of age, passed away on the 25th of February, 2024. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Crowell Alexander Pate on February 13, 1927, she grew up in Lowndesboro, AL where she met and married the love of her life, Henry Cleveland DeBardeleben, Jr., in 1945. Henry and Dot moved to Anniston, AL and began their family. A son, Henry Cleveland DeBardeleben, II was born in September of 1946 and a second son, Crowell Pate DeBardeleben, was born in April of 1952. Her beloved husband, Henry, passed away in 1988 and son, Cleve, died in 2010, leaving his wife, Susan. She leaves behind her son Pate and wife Beth and daughter-in-law Susan. Four grandchildren, whom she adored also remain: Jennifer Lane Downs (Will), Henry Cleveland DeBardeleben, IV (Melissa), Wesley Pate DeBardeleben (Ayane) and Ali DeBardeleben Korf (TJ) and nine great-grandchildren; Henry, Dexter, Charles Tucker, Mary Taylor, Betty, Luke, Lily, Kathryn, and Robert. Dorothy reside at Wesley Gardens Assisted Living Facility and John Knox Manor Nursing Facility in Montgomery for 11 years prior to her passing. She was a loving, nurturing wife and mother to her family. She was a friend to all, but spoke from the heart on what matter to her. Seh was always fond of family functions and a proud member of Grace Episcopal Church in Anniston, AL. A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local humane society or the charity of your choice.

A Memorial Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 PM until 6PM Friday, February 9, 2024 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Pam was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on June 16, 1954 to the late William Harry Ormes and Frankie Mae McDonald Ormes. She was a lifelong resident of Dothan and Managed Wet Pets for several years. Pam loved animals and taking care of them and was a volunteer at Wiregrass Angel House. Pam is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Matthew Tice; sister, Barbara Seay and a brother, Larry Ormes. Survivors include her husband, Robert Earl Floyd, Sr.; children, Frankie Mechelle Tice (Harry), Tammy Hale-Bang, Melissa Faith Diane Ward; stepchildren, Melisa Haney and Robert Earl Floyd, Jr. (Dolly); grandchildren, Joseph Tice, Wesley Hale, Kristi Mack (Lamar), Harley Ward, Hayden Ward; great grandchildren, Braylen Tice, Kaiden Brown, Wade Hale, Connor, Chloe, Oakley, Oliver and Carson Tice; siblings, Kim Riley (Freddy) and Mike Ormes.
