Frank Tumianiec

Frank Tumianiec

Age - 85

September 5, 2023

Frank Martin Tumianiec 9. 20. 1937 - 8. 24. 2023 The world has lost a brilliant light. Frank Martin Tumianiec passed away peacefully in his home on August 24th. Every soul that Frank touched knew him as the essence of kindness, patience and love in action. He was a role model and gentle giant among fathers to his eight children, and an exceptionally kind and loving friend to so many. He blessed the world with his talents as a woodworker and artist; but most of all, the light of his generous and loving spirit shone through to everyone that he encountered on his journey. Frank was a master woodworker and you could often find him watching reruns of wood shows where he was perfecting the art of using hand tools to shape wood instead of using machines. He loved fishing, sharing stories and wouldn't pass up an opportunity to tell a good dad joke. He also wouldn't pass up the opportunity to help anyone in need, which he did often and generously. He found solace and strength in his deep religious faith and found kindred community within his church and his ACOA family. He was a deeply spiritual man and one of the rare people that you meet that has walked his faith and his values his entire life. Frank was born in LaCrosse, WI and met Sharon, with whom he had two beautiful children, Steve and Susan. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1956-1963, after which he began an illustrious 35-plus year career at GM in the engineering department. During that time, he met Camille, his wife of 42 years, and became an incredible, loving father to her six children. Frank is survived by his companion and former spouse, Sharon; sons Steve (Heather), Jeff (Sheri), Jay (Darlene), Tim (Karen); daughters Kim (Dennis), Tammie (Jan) and Stacie; his sister Mary Rose, as well as 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Camille, his wife of 42 years; his parents Mary and Joseph; daughter Susan; brothers John and Walter and sisters Lorraine and Margaret. In lieu of flowers, Frank would appreciate that any memorial donations be made to St. Kilian Catholic Church or the American Life League. Show more
