Westfield-David W. Tillman Sr, 93 died Sunday, June 19, 2022 in a local nursing home. A Westfield resident since 1957. He was born in Erie, PA on March 26, 1929 to the late Wallace T. and Cecilia M. (Amidon) Tillman. He was a graduate of Mills Creek High School in Erie in 1948 and he was a U. S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Pratt and Whitney, Hamilton Standard and United Technologies as an experimental Mechanic for 34 years and retired in 1992. He worked at the Kennedy Space Center on the Apollo 16 & 17 missions. He was pre-deceased by his wife Sally A. (Creighton) Tillman in 2016 and his son Dana W. Tillman in 2010. He leaves his children David W. Tillman Jr. of Westfield, Darlene M. Lloyd of Westfield, Deborah A. Dodson of Oakland CT, Dale W. Tillman of Westfield, Denise M. Briggs of Suffield CT, Brian L. Tillman of Westfield, Shirley A. Compagna of Westfield, Kelly L. St. Marie of Monson, and Kevin S. Trempe of Westfield, his brother Gary P. Tillman and his sister Sandra J. Varescak both of Erie, P. A. He also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Saturday June 25th at 11 am at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service on Saturday from 10-11 am.
