David Alan Solis, age 58, of St Paul, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2023 Preceded in death by his father, Patrick Sr He is survived by his beloved mother, Edna; siblings, Michael (Jennifer), Patrick Jr , (Linda), Lisa, Joanne (Ray), Michelle (Chris), Steven (Paula), Maria, and Jennifer (Chuck); along with many nieces, nephews and close family From a young age David excelled in all sports He especially loved basketball, playing in the back of his childhood home with his brothers and the neighborhood friends He got his love of music from his father and brothers, who also introduced him to boxing, where he excelled and competed in many tournaments Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A M on Tuesday, October 10th 2023 at the Cathedral of Saint Paul, 239 Selby Ave , Saint Paul Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights To to the family or in memory of David Alan Solis, please

Linda M. Lea, 69, of Mendota Heights, MN, formerly of Waterville, IA, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from a stroke at White Pines Senior Living in Mendota Heights. Private family graveside services will be held at Old East Paint Creek Cemetery in rural Waterville, IA, with Pastor Ken Kimball officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church in rural Waterville. Linda Margaret Lea was born August 28, 1952, in Waterville, IA, the fourth child of Ambrose and Eunice (Forde) Lea. After graduating from Waukon High School in 1970, Linda received her degree from Luther College in Decorah, IA. She was a teacher in Omaha, NE, Burnsville, MN, and at L. A. Unified in Los Angeles, CA, where she lived for more than 20 years. Linda also spent time in Arizona and at her cabin in Cross Lake, MN. Linda enjoyed cooking, had a lively personality, a great sense of humor, and amazing style and fashion sense. Linda is survived by her mother Eunice Lea of Decorah; seven siblings: Gilbert of Des Moines, IA, Joe (Sheryl Mauss) of Mason City, IA, Dorothy Lea of St. Paul, MN, Theresa David of Los Angeles, CA, Tony (Mary Motly) of Decorah, LaVonne (Randy) Peterson of Decorah, and Donna (David) Faber of Edwards, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Ambrose in 1996 and her sister Florence Diane Lea Flaherty in 2021. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at White Pines Senior Living for the great care and friendships they provided for Linda over the past five years. Pendergrass, Judith (Shiplock) Age 76, of Mendota Heights, died peacefully on December 4, 2020. She was born in Danville, Illinois to Harold and Verdie Shiplock. Judy was a proud graduate of the University of Illinois, from which she received three of her degrees, and she was a loyal fan of the Fighting Illini throughout her life. She moved to Minnesota when her husband, Dan Pendergrass, accepted a job with 3M, and she began working as an Administrator and Advisor at Metropolitan State University. After completing her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, Statistics, and Measurement at the University of Iowa, she began her work in consulting psychology, working first at MDA Leadership Consulting and later joining Martin-McAllister Consulting Psychologists, Inc. She took great pride in growing Martin-McAllister with her long-time friend, Dr. James Martin, and she bought the business from him in 1998. Her investment in her work and in Martin-McAllister was evident to all who knew her. Beyond work, Judy found joy in her family. She is survived by her husband, Dan, daughter Laura, and granddaughter Elizabeth. Judy found a kindred spirit in Elizabeth and was delighted by the opportunity to travel frequently with her family, sharing the places that she loved with them. A private family interment will take place at Acacia Park Cemetery in Mendota Heights.
