David Alan Solis, age 58, of St Paul, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2023 Preceded in death by his father, Patrick Sr He is survived by his beloved mother, Edna; siblings, Michael (Jennifer), Patrick Jr , (Linda), Lisa, Joanne (Ray), Michelle (Chris), Steven (Paula), Maria, and Jennifer (Chuck); along with many nieces, nephews and close family From a young age David excelled in all sports He especially loved basketball, playing in the back of his childhood home with his brothers and the neighborhood friends He got his love of music from his father and brothers, who also introduced him to boxing, where he excelled and competed in many tournaments Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A M on Tuesday, October 10th 2023 at the Cathedral of Saint Paul, 239 Selby Ave , Saint Paul Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights To to the family or in memory of David Alan Solis, please

Jacqueline Ann (Raymond) Blissenbach, 94, of Mendota Heights, passed away on November 19, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30AM on Wednesday November 29 at the Church of St. Peter, 1405 Sibley Memorial Hwy, Mendota, visitation will be from 4-7PM on Tuesday, November 28 at Willwerscheid West Heights Chapel, 235 Wentworth Ave. W, West Saint Paul, a half hour prior at the church. A private family burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery immediately following the service. Jacqueline is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; granddaughter, Connie; and sister, Arlene Goetzke. She is survived by her children, Peggy (Jim) Hassett, Mark (Victoria), Joan Heinz, John (Margaret), Peter (Renee), Ann (Gary) Anderson, and Paul (Jill); 24 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff at United Hospital, Cerenity Care Marian Center, and Our Lady of Peace Hospice for the wonderful care of our mother. Colleen M. Lepak (nee Halloran), age 84, formerly of St. Paul and Mendota Heights, passed away on Aug 19, 2023. Preceded in death by her parents, Dennis & Esther Halloran; and brother, Mark Halloran. Survived by husband of 58 years, John Lepak; children, David Lepak (Justin Odegard) and Joan (Mark) Mikkelson; and granddaughter, Sophie Mikkelson. Colleen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother with a kind heart. She volunteered for 20+ years at St Joseph's Hospital, Meals on Wheels and other various organizations. Colleen enjoyed playing Bridge, Boot Camp, and spending time with her family at the lake. She was sassy, sweet, and will be deeply missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Fri, Aug 25 at 10AM with visitation one hour prior at the Church of the Assumption, 51 7th St W, St Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Alzheimer's Association or Catholic Charities. Konen, James R. Age 80, of Mendota Heights passed away on March 26, 2023. James is survived by his beloved wife of 50+ years, Rita; and his dear son, Kurt of Newport, MN. James graduated from St. Thomas Military Academy, the College of St. Thomas, and William Mitchell College of Law. He served as an assistant Ramsey County attorney as a felony trial attorney for forty years, ten of which he was Director of the Criminal Division. He loved the study of the sciences, especially botany, which transformed him into an avid gardener. Rebecca (Becky) Sonnick (nee Fixsen) (Schoer, Labbe) Age 83, of Mendota Heights, Minnesota Becky passed away peacefully on August, 29th, 2022. Becky was born Rebecca Ann Fixsen, February 22, 1939. Becky spent much of her early years on a farm near Seaforth, Redwood Co. , MN. She attended Wabasso Public School and the University of Minnesota. Becky moved to St. Paul in 1958. Although she lived in many areas through out St. Paul, during the 60's and 70's, she later moved in to the Eagan, West St. Paul and Mendota Heights vicinity, where she spent the rest of her life. Becky was a retired State of Minnesota Education employee and a proud lifetime AFSCME union member. Becky became the president of PFLAG and was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Minnesota Territorial Pioneers, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. FRIEDRICH Marlene Joyce (Conrad) Age 89 of Woodbury, formerly Chisago City and Mendota Heights Passed away peacefully on May 28, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Lucy; husband John Friedrich; brother John "Butch" Whelan; sisters-in-law Barb Whelan and Jan Greene; daughter-in-law Debbie Conrad. She is survived by children Jim Conrad, Jeff (Deb) Conrad, Polly (Dennis) Hildenbrand, Scott Friedrich; grandchildren Jahna (Jasen) Haller, Theah Lawrence, Jim Conrad, Kimberly (John) Cicchese; great-grandchildren Derrick, Zachary, Jake, Jack, Will, Hadley, Hudson; sister Judy Kennedy, brother Richard (Sharon) Whelan, brother in-law Tom Greene, and many nieces, nephews and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be 3-7pm Tuesday, June 7 at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater. Linda M. Lea, 69, of Mendota Heights, MN, formerly of Waterville, IA, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from a stroke at White Pines Senior Living in Mendota Heights. Private family graveside services will be held at Old East Paint Creek Cemetery in rural Waterville, IA, with Pastor Ken Kimball officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church in rural Waterville. Linda Margaret Lea was born August 28, 1952, in Waterville, IA, the fourth child of Ambrose and Eunice (Forde) Lea. After graduating from Waukon High School in 1970, Linda received her degree from Luther College in Decorah, IA. She was a teacher in Omaha, NE, Burnsville, MN, and at L. A. Unified in Los Angeles, CA, where she lived for more than 20 years. Linda also spent time in Arizona and at her cabin in Cross Lake, MN. Linda enjoyed cooking, had a lively personality, a great sense of humor, and amazing style and fashion sense. Linda is survived by her mother Eunice Lea of Decorah; seven siblings: Gilbert of Des Moines, IA, Joe (Sheryl Mauss) of Mason City, IA, Dorothy Lea of St. Paul, MN, Theresa David of Los Angeles, CA, Tony (Mary Motly) of Decorah, LaVonne (Randy) Peterson of Decorah, and Donna (David) Faber of Edwards, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Ambrose in 1996 and her sister Florence Diane Lea Flaherty in 2021. Pendergrass, Judith (Shiplock) Age 76, of Mendota Heights, died peacefully on December 4, 2020. She was born in Danville, Illinois to Harold and Verdie Shiplock. Judy was a proud graduate of the University of Illinois, from which she received three of her degrees, and she was a loyal fan of the Fighting Illini throughout her life. She moved to Minnesota when her husband, Dan Pendergrass, accepted a job with 3M, and she began working as an Administrator and Advisor at Metropolitan State University. After completing her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, Statistics, and Measurement at the University of Iowa, she began her work in consulting psychology, working first at MDA Leadership Consulting and later joining Martin-McAllister Consulting Psychologists, Inc. She took great pride in growing Martin-McAllister with her long-time friend, Dr. James Martin, and she bought the business from him in 1998. Her investment in her work and in Martin-McAllister was evident to all who knew her. Beyond work, Judy found joy in her family. She is survived by her husband, Dan, daughter Laura, and granddaughter Elizabeth. Judy found a kindred spirit in Elizabeth and was delighted by the opportunity to travel frequently with her family, sharing the places that she loved with them. A private family interment will take place at Acacia Park Cemetery in Mendota Heights. Arthur Paul "Art" Taylor, age 76 of Mendota Heights, passed away at home in the early morning hours of June 15, 2020 while surrounded by family and loved ones. He is survived by wife Lea and children Nick (Ashley), Natalie, and Jeff, brothers Harry (Joan) and Jim, sisters Beverly (Larry) and Joanne, many nieces and nephews and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by son James, father Harold and mother Katherine. Art was a hard worker and retired from Gerdau Ameristeel at the age of 65. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music in his garage, and visiting with longtime friends at his favorite watering hole, Bogey's. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.Show more
