Dave Mowry, 75 of Louisville, OH passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023. He was born January 25, 1948 to the late Charles Mowry and Ruth Suntheimer. Dave graduated from East Canton High School in 1966 where he excelled in sports. He retired from the Timken Company after 36 years of service. Dave was a member of Boy Scouts and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He also was a member of 4-H as a youth. As an adult he was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Stark County 4 Wheel Drive Club where he served a time as president. He enjoyed his children and working with youth. He was Assistant Boy Scout Leader, Assistant Girl Scout Leader, boys' softball coach, and girls' softball coach. He supported his granddaughter Valerie in her 4-h projects. He loved racing drag cars and motorcycles. He also was a life member of ATA. Dave is survived by his wife, Beverly, of 49 years, sons, Daniel and Michael, daughter, Angela, son-in-law, Rodney, granddaughter, Valerie, sisters, Pat O'Neil and Christine Mowry. Funeral Services will be held 10am Friday, September 15, 2023 at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Dr. David Anderson officiating. Harry E. Boyd Jr. , loving husband, devoted father, and esteemed veteran of the United States Marine Corps, passed away on November 26, 2023, in Louisville, Ohio. He was born on November 24, 1936, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Harry Boyd Sr. and Bessie Boyd. Harry lived a life marked by resilience, perseverance, and selflessness. He found success as a dedicated courier in the medical industry. Harry's commitment to his work and the well-being of others was unwavering. Outside of his professional life, Harry was a proud and honorable member of the Marine Corps, having served from March 16, 1954, to March 15, 1957. Harry's service to his country was a source of great pride and fulfillment throughout his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Trina Rene Boyd. Harry leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Linda Boyd, their two sons, Eric Boyd and Harry Boyd III, daughter Tamella, granddaughters Melinda, Micheala, Telina, and Megan, and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON Chapel 801 Pittsburg Ave NW North Canton OH 44720 on December 4, 2023, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jack Pantcher officiating. Prior to the service, calling hours will be observed from 11:00 am until service time at the same location. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Gary L. Brahler, age 79, Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather of Louisville, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born September 4, 1944 in Canton, OH to the late Vernon and Margaret (Monter) Brahler. Gary was a lifelong member and served as a lay minister at St. Louis Catholic Church. He was a 1962 graduate of Louisville High School. He served on the Nimishillen Zoning Board and he was a member of the Louisville Eagles and Nimishillen Ruritans Club. He loved golfing, playing tennis, snow skiing and traveling. Gary is survived by his wife of 59 years, Olivia Jeanne (Luttrell) Brahler; two daughters, Lisa (Daniel) Lorentz, Renee (Doug) Roudebush; two sons, Gary (Katy) and Nate (Rachel) Brahler; two sisters, Ann (Don) Miller, Carole Hershey; four brothers, Richard (Sondra), Robert (Marilyn), Tom and Tim (Linda) Brahler; six grandchildren, Jessica, Alana, Fisher, Nathaniel, Olivia and Amy; three great-grandchildren, Landyn, Daniel, Lena Mae and Chloe; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Brahler. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Friday (12/1) at St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville with Fr Matthew Humerickhouse as celebrant. Donna Jean Crandall, age 90, of Louisville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023. She was born in North Canton on October 20,1933 to the late Mahlon and Marie (Lindenberger) Lutz. She was a graduate of Jackson High School, Class of 1951. Donna worked at Jackson Schools in the cafeteria for most of her life. She enjoyed bingo, euchre, watching classic Hallmark movies, and especially spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandson, Henry who was the light of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Crandall; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ellen and Sheldon Stockum, and Marian and Carl Nist; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Jane Lutz, Dick and Helen Lutz, Alvin Lutz, and Larry and Sue Lutz. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Ron Miller; grandchildren, Jessica and Billy Lairson, Brandon Gray, and Andrew Gray; great-grandson, Henry Lairson; and sister-in-law, Donna Lutz; and special niece, LuAnn Nist along with many nieces and nephews. Eleanor L. "Ellie" Lautzenheiser of Louisville, Ohio passed away Tuesday November 7, 2023 at the Inn at Whitewood Village memory unit. She was born May 25, 1941 to the late Harold Sr. and Dorothy (Douglas) Stertzbach. She was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ in Louisville and Legacy Chapter No 596 Eastern Star. After her two boys were in grade school, she worked at various positions to help her family. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Larry, son Eric (Heidi), son Todd (Michelle) and grandchildren, Paige, Sydney, Tyler Lautzenheiser and Lauren (Aaron) Bodenschatz. Besides her mother and father, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Harold Jr (Marion), Marie (Karl) Betz, Janet (Al) Cotham, John (Faye) and Jerry (Juanita). She is survived by brother and sisters Dick (Marcia), Linda (Fred) Torres and Kathy (Bill) Malone. Cherie L. Ritchie went to be with our Lord on November 1, 2023. She was born on February 22, 1978, to Eric and Susan (Rebillot) Ritchie. She is survived by her loving wife Jodi Howell, her stepdaughters Riley, Leah, and Madison Kellish, and her step-grandson Ayden. She is also survived by her brother Mark Ritchie and his son, her brother Mike (Shelly) Ritchie and their children, as well as her parents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Cherie was a 1996 graduate of Louisville High School and graduated from Kent State University in 2002. She then went on to earn her MBA and was employed for several years at MAC Trailer. She was currently an HR Generalist, specializing in Human Resources and paving the way for others to become successful in life. Throughout her career there, she welded and worked on the frontlines to establish a true connection with those she would serve in her new role. Cherie loved to fish, was an avid softball player, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She played in the Superdraft every year to help raise money for Kaiden Kares, a nonprofit organization to help children battling congenital heart disease. She was a charismatic, loving, and caring soul whose compassion for others was contagious. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She fought her battle with courage and strength, showing others how to live, even in the face of uncertainty. A private family service will be held at Stier-Israel Funeral home. There will be a Celebration of Life held on November 18, 2023, at the Louisville American Legion from 5-9 PM. Please plan to join us for an evening of love, laughter, and many, many memories.
