Lillie Webb

Lillie Webb

Age - 96

December 5, 2023

Lillie Grace Webb entered her heavenly home on December 2, 2023. Born on August 27, 1927, she was truly a gift from above a shining example of what it means to be Godly, amazing, and utterly selfless. She was born in Greenbrier in what is now the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and experienced many changes in her 96 years. When asked about the Great Depression, she said she was so poor growing up, they didn't even know there was a depression going on. She never once complained of the life she was given and considered herself to be blessed. If you were privileged enough to have known her, you were touched by her kind spirit and boundless generosity. She loved the Lord and her family above everything else. She believed in The Golden Rule and instilled in all her children to treat everyone as you wanted to be treated. Her family extended well beyond her children and grandchildren to many others who called her Mom and Mamaw. Her unwavering faith provided her with strength during even the darkest moments and she shared that faith with all who crossed her path. She was a living example of the teachings she held dear, spreading kindness, forgiveness, and compassion to everyone she encountered. Her faith was not just a personal journey; it was a light that illuminated the path for all who sought solace and guidance. She taught us the true meaning of grace by extending grace to others, even in the face of difficulties. She taught us the true meaning of forgiveness by embracing it wholeheartedly, letting go of grudges and nurturing reconciliation. She taught us the true meaning of selflessness by putting the needs of others before her own, always with a smile on her face and a spatula in her hand. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Nora Branam, her husband, Ovel Webb, Sons Stanley and David Webb, Daughter Patricia McCarter, and many sisters and brothers. She is survived by Sons Mick (Becky) Webb, Daughters, Marsha (Brian) Harrington, Yvonne (Bob) Smith and Daughter Nancy Morgan, daughter-in-law Sherri Webb, Sister Helen (Crow) Ogle.
