HeattendedelementaryschoolinDallasandgraduatedfromMemorialHighSchoolinHouston. HeattendedcollegesinBaltimore,MarylandandWashington,D.C. DavidwasamemberofMemorialDriveUnitedMethodistChurchwherehewasactiveinthesinglesministry,taughtSundaySchoolandBibleclasses,andsanginthechoir. DavidwillbeburiedinthecemeteryinOzona,CrockettCounty,Texas,nexttohisgrandparents,great-grandparents,andgreat-great-grandparents. Hisgreat-great-grandfather,JudgeCharlesE.Davidson,wasoneofthefoundersandorganizersof CrockettCounty,namedthetownofOzona,andwasCountyJudgefor53yearsuntilhisdeath. DavidissurvivedbyhishusbandJesseMadrayofHouston,hisparents,hissisterMeredithMontgomeryandherhusbandClarkMontgomery,hisnieceGeorgiaRebeccaMontgomery,andmanyfriends.Davidlovedmusic,playingtrumpetinhismiddleandhighschoolyears. Helovedsports,especiallyourHoustonteams. HewasanavidAstrosfan,proudoftheteamwinningorlosing. FromthebeginninghewasaTexansfan,enjoyinghisfather'sseasonticketswheneveroffered.
