"David Randall Inman, age 80, of Storm Lake, Iowa died September 18, 2023 at his home in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 1-2:00 p. m. at the Fratzke \u0026amp; Jensen Funeral Home in STORM LAKE. Private family burial will occur in the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 3-5:00 p. m. at Brewsters located at 225 E. Railroad Street in Storm Lake. The Fratzke \u0026amp; Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. David Randall Inman was born May 10, 1943 in Storm Lake, Iowa. He was the second son of Richard (Dick) and Doris (Sundberg) Inman. Dave passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 18, 2023 after a brave six month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 80 years old. Dave lived his entire life in Storm Lake and graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1961. He excelled at the pole vault in high school track, broke school records and won the Drake Relays. He graduated from BVU in 1966 with a degree in business. After graduation, Dave joined the family business, Inman Electric. He enjoyed working with his father, Dick and grandfather, Clifford, serving many homes and businesses in the Storm Lake area. Dave retired in 1990. Dave loved life! He loved his family and friends and had many passions that gave him much joy. From the time he was young, he would spend time in the winter at his family's vacation home in St. Petersburg, FL. Over the years, he kept that tradition and would look forward to driving down to Florida in February and March. He loved to go to antique store, car shows, his favorite bars and the beach. His favorite passion his entire life was driving and collecting cars. He would attend many car shows each summer and earned many trophies over the years. Dave loved working on his cars, driving them, showing them, reading about them and just spending time in his garage with them. He made many lifelong friends through his love of cars. Dave also developed an appreciation for antique art and collected many beautiful pieces for 40 years. He made friends through antiquing and buying and selling art and found much joy in displaying them in his home. Dave was married 3 times; Sharon, Mary Ellen and Cindy. Of these unions, he had a daughter, Stephanie and step-son, Cameron. Dave enjoyed driving to Shenandoah for the holidays and several times each summer to spend time with his daughter and grandchildren. He absolutely loved becoming a great grandfather to 2 beautiful little girls. He enjoyed going out for wings, ribs or a good steak and sometimes requested homemade tuna and noodles and his favorite vanilla graham cracker pie. Dave lived a full life! He will be remembered for his genuine laugh, huge sense of humor, telling jokes and stories and having a good time. He will be remembered for wearing his car show t shirts, being a good guy and always ready to have a few beers wherever he went. Dave was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie (Curtis) Osborn of Shenandoah, Iowa; brother Jim Inman of Storm Lake; granddaughter Ali (Scott) McDonald of Shenandoah; grandson Mitchell (Michelle) Steinkuehler of Pompano Beach, Florida; grandson Andrew Johnson of Iowa City, Iowa; great granddaughters Bria and Lennon McDonald of Shenandoah; step grandson Joshua Osborn of Chicago, Illinois; step grandson Justin (Larissa) Osborn of Las Vegas, Nevada, other family members and many friends. "
