David J. Denney, age 31, of Sabina, passed unexpectedly at Clinton Memorial Hospital on Sunday, June 19, 2022. Born in Wilmington on August 30, 1990, he was the son of Darrell Denney of Springfield and Pamela McDowell of Sabina. David was a press operator at Pennant Molding. He enjoyed anything outdoors - from fishing and hiking to cooking out with friends and family. Deep down, David was a lover and a people pleaser. He sought approval from his family and his friends. He wanted everyone to be proud of him. No matter what he was going through, he would always greet others with a smile. Although it was known that he was struggling, David would put on a happy face and say he was going well - he was very convincing. He was always tinkering with things. Cars, TVs, computers. . . it didn't matter. If it could be taken apart and put back together, David could figure it out. . . most of the time. He loved his family and his friends, even though sometimes it was hard to tell. In the past year, many of us witnessed David at the best he has been in a long time, and for that, we are most thankful. Bridges that had been burned were rebuilt. Relationships that had been severed were mended. Those that knew him best can remember him forever for who he truly was: a kind heart, a gentle soul, a loving son and grandson, a brother, uncle, nephew, and a good friend. May he rest in peace until one day we meet again. In addition to his parents, David is survived by his sister, Abby (Josh) Singer and his brother, Daniel Denney, both of Carlisle. Also left to cherish his memory are his niece and nephews, Ruby, Jackson, Bo, and Sawyer; his maternal grandfather, William McDowell; several aunts, uncles, cousins, along with the love of his life, Rainbow Lynn, her children and grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the Sabina Church of Christ in Christian Union on Monday, June 27, 2022, from 5pm until the time of service at 6:30pm. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements. To to the family or in memory of David J. Denney, please
