David Ernest Davis, 70, of Imboden, AR passed away Friday, September 8, 2023. He was born January 18, 1953 in Ashland, MS to Van and Agnes (Clements) Davis. He loved motorcycles and flea marketing. David was preceded in death by his parents; a son; and seven brothers, James, William, Thomas, Wallace, Billy, Robert and baby Van Davis. Survivors include two daughters, Tabetha Lawther and Sarah Davis; a brother, Henry (Renee) Davis; three sisters, Maudie E. Hanley, Agnes L. (Eugene) Clements and Mary (Glen) Snyder; and his life partner, Evelyn ''Cindy'' Miller. No services are scheduled. Arrangements by Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

"Glenda Sue (Webb) Nelson, 77 of Imboden, passed from this life, October 14, 2023, surrounded by her children. Born February 27, 1946, in Walnut Ridge; daughter of the late James and Stella McQuay Webb. Glenda was united in marriage to Billie Wayne Nelson on April 12, 1961. She worked as a seamstress and nurse's aide. She loved to sew and spend time with her family. Glenda had a strong faith and loved the Lord; she attended the Lake Charles Full Gospel Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Billie Wayne; one son, John Nelson; two brothers, Larry and David Webb; and two sisters, Leaverda and Neatress Fultner. Survived by eight children, Billy Ray (Pam) Nelson of Ravenden, Dewayne (Kelly) Nelson of Lynn, Glenda Diane (Robert) Huskey of Walnut Ridge, Debbie (Clint) Burleson of Ravenden Springs, Melissa Kay (Kenny) Simms of Walnut Ridge, Connie (Lonnie) Cline of Mammoth Spring, Lisa (Mark) Watson of Tuckerman, and Amber (Billy) Young of Imboden; twenty eight grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two brothers, Danny (Patricia) Webb of Pocahontas, and Daniel Webb of Walnut Ridge; a sister, Brenda Lamb of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 1:30 P. M. in the Lorado Cemetery with Bro. Ed Gregory officiating. Lawrence Vance Waddell Jr. 85 of Imboden, passed away, June 10, 2022, at his daughter's residence under Legacy Hospice care. Born October 28, 1936, in Manila, Arkansas, son of the late, Addie Mae Collins and Lawrence V. Waddell Sr. Vance was united in marriage to the late, Iva Dell Downing on May 29, 1955. He was a self-employed Plumber and a farmer. He loved animals and raising cattle; his hobbies included collecting and making knives, wood working and folk-art painting. He had a passion for baseball, collecting cards and playing the sport until he was the age of 41. Vance also was a history buff, he enjoyed learning about our American and Native American History. He is preceded by his parents; his wife, Iva in 2006; two sons, L. Van (and his late wife, Tracie Waddell) and Anthony Waddell; an infant daughter, Lilla Jeanne Waddell; a son-n-law, Barney Perrin; a grandson-n-law, Clayton Hill; one brother, Carroll Waddell; and two sisters, Violet Alexander and Lois V. Keller. Survivors include his two daughters, Angela Perrin of Imboden and Adella (Johnny) Bookout of Smithville; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Lee (Lois) Waddell of Clinton, AR; three sisters, Jennie Mae Justus of Jonesboro, Bertha Mobley of Pensacola, FL and June Milligan of Pine Bluff; his beloved pet, Puppy; and many other relatives and friends. Everett D. Poteet, 90 of Imboden, died Friday December 10, 2021 at his residence. He was born November 28, 1931 in Randolph County, AR to Onie Poteet & Audrey Sellers Poteet. Everett graduated from Sloan Hendrix Academy in 1949. He played baseball most of his youth and was manager of the football team is senior year. He served his country in the USAF and fought in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired as a tech Sergeant after a career that spanned over 20 years. During that time, he developed a love of travelling and seeing the world. After retiring, he worked for Skil Bosch. He was a loving and caring patriarch of a large family. He was family oriented and loved his children & grandchildren very much. He was a member of the church of Christ. Bluegrass music was his favorite music and he read his Bible every day. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Onie and Audrey Poteet; wife, Christie High; son, Albert Wayne Poteet; granddaughter, Bandy Green; daughter-in-law, Tina Poteet; brother, Bobby Jones Poteet; sister, Mars Jean Terrell; nephew, Bobby Jr. Poteet; and niece, Sheila Garner. He is survived by daughter, Dorothy Poteet Jones (Blake) of Imboden; sons, Shannon Poteet, Thomas Poteet, and Wendell Poteet; grandchildren, Jesse & Jordan Poteet, Ryan Green, & Amber Seamans; great children, Savanah, Kora (Aaron), Teagan, Lane, Timothy, Harley, Cooper, and Kaylee; great-great grandchildren, Zander, Presley, Easton, Eli, & Emmit. Visitation will be Monday December 13, 2021 from 12:30PM-2:00PM at Imboden Church of Christ. Funeral services begin at 2:00PM at Imboden Church of Christ with Dale Choate officiating. Interment will be at Hope Cemetery under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge & Lynn, Arkansas. There will be full military honors conducted by the USAF at this time.
