David Coon Obituary

David C. Coon passed away on Friday. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School. He and his family operated Coon’s Shell Gas Station on Thompson Road as well as Coon’s Hardware. David enjoyed the outdoors, going deep sea fishing and scuba diving, as well as camping and was an avid gardener. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Jane Coon; children, Gary Luckette, Jeffery Coon; brother, Tim Coon. David is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Randy Coon, Joseph Luckette, Brenda Jones, Penny Kardys; brothers, Paul Michael Coon and Eric Coon; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held from 10-11 on Thursday, April 27 at R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Road, Minoa. Funeral services will follow at 11 am at the funeral home.
