David Colelli Obituary

David Andrew Colelli, 46, of Peru passed away a hero at 5:59 PM, Friday, May 5, 2023, at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. He was born in Peru, IN on June 23, 1976, the son of Joseph and Vickie Engel Colelli. David married the love of his life, Joyce Eltzroth at Pensacola Beach, FL on April 9, 2010, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife Joyce are his parents Joseph and Vickie Colelli of Peru; father-in-law Dean Eltzroth of Peru; children Devin (Braxton) Studebaker of Nyona Lake, Trey (Jamie) Christensen, Tanner Boggs, Izabella Colelli, and Jocelynn Colelli all of Peru; grandchildren Leeah, Kyson, Jason and Eliza; sisters Andrea, Amy, and Katherine Colelli and his brother Christopher Colelli; nieces Dacia, Jaeden, Kailyn (Braxton), and Addyson (Chance); as well as multiple great-nephews, a great-niece, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be missed terribly by all who loved him. Preceding him in death were his paternal and maternal grandparents, his Uncle Clem, his mother-in-law Betty Eltzroth, his grandson Everett, and his nephew Nicholas Cress. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of David Andrew Colelli will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 13, 2023, at St. Charles Catholic Church, 58 W. 5th St. , Peru with Rev. Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St. Peru with a prayer service at 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home for the benefit of David's children.
