David Allen Borg, 73, of Canton, Mississippi, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Saint Dominic Hospital, with his wife and children by his bedside. Dave, as he was known to his friends, was born June 28,1945 in Watertown, South Dakota. He grew up on his family farm where he developed a love for the outdoors at an early age. After high school, he joined the Navy Seabees serving all over the world including Vietnam. He made a career in the armed forces retiring in 1982 and settling in Columbus, Ohio. He and Ingrid, his wife of 48 years, migrated to Mississippi in 2012 to be closer to their children. He is survived by his wife, Ingrid Borg, his son David Schmidt of Richardson, Texas, daughter Debbie (Perry) Waggener of Canton, Mississippi, Grandson Jordan (Casidee) Schmidt and two Great Grandsons, 3 Brothers & 1 Sister.
