David Abney Obituary

David Vernon Abney, age 57 of Bradford, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 at home. David was born in Greenville on March 27, 1966 to the (late) Vernon & Mary Ann (Burkett) Abney; a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1984; worked for Midmark, Versailles; previously worked for 3Sigma for 20+ years; a member of Covington Eagles Aerie #3998; a member and officer with AMVETS Post#66, Covington; Bradford Community Club; enjoyed many things including riding horses, running, fishing, hunting, riding 4-wheelers and side by sides; loved vacations, hanging out with his family and friends; and loved playing with his grandkids. Preceded in death by his parents; niece, Chasity Nicole Abney; sister, Judy Maitlin Phillips; and brother and sister-in-law, Grover & Sue Abney. David is survived by his wife of 36 years, Tammi R. (Schellenbarg) Abney; his children, Crystal & Dusty Yingst of Bradford, Kristopher & Chelsea Abney of Hampton, VA; five grandchildren, Garrett Yingst, Koi Abney, Ainsley Yingst, twins, Omnia & Case Abney; siblings, Mike & Sue Abney of Bradford, Jerry & Cathe Folkerth of West Carrollton, Donna Mills & Jeff Miller of Bradford, Kimberly & Janet Folkerth of Yorkshire, OH, Billy Lee & Sharon Abney of Sidney, Carol Kramer of Florida, & Debra Kaufman of Greenville; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Thursday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Louis Reindel officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
